I’ve Been To A Lovely Party

Eric McCormack, hubby Michael, Jen and me

Hubby Michael and I were invited to a perfectly lovely cocktail party last night here in New York City thrown by NBC and Vanity Fair to toast the return of iconic sitcom Will & Grace this coming Thursday.

We saw cast members Eric McCormack, Debra Messing and Sean Hayes (didn’t spot Megan Mullally) and tons of fab folks like Harry Connick Jr., Food Network star Geoffrey Zakarian, and MSNBC’s Thomas Roberts. Very attractive crowd 🙂

Posh NYC lounge Mr. Purple was the locale and couldn’t have been better. Large, open patios with perfect September weather made for an uber-comfortable evening with gorgeous views all around.

I love NYC.

“Will & Grace” Cast Performs Theme Song With Lyrics For The First Time

Will & Grace stars Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Megan Mullally and Sean Hayes dropped by The Tonight Show last night to promote the reboot of their iconic sitcom which begins this coming Thursday, September 28.

And in celebration of the return of the hit sitcom, the four stars sang – for the first time ever – new lyrics to the classic piano intro complete with dancers and confetti.

After the full-out performance of the theme song, the fearsome foursome sat down with Jimmy Fallon to chat including auditioning for the show 20 years ago and how good they all still look today.

“We’ve been cryogenically frozen for the past 11 years,” says the sassy Mullally.

Some news items you might have missed:

• My buddy Brandon Pereyda, currently one of the stars (and poster boy) for Cirque du Soleil’s Zumanity here in Las Vegas, gets in “mid-show workouts” during his already grueling performances. And yes, everything in the pic is real from the mohawk to the body to everything else 🙂

• Former Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore, who was removed from office for blocking same-sex marriages in his state, could very well be the next U.S. Senator from the “Yellowhammer” state. And he’s not sure if gays should be executed or not for being who they are.

• Russian politician Vyacheslav Nikonov told Russian TV audiences recently that the United States intel community “missed it when Russian intelligence stole the president of the United States.”

• Is it weird that not only does Donald Trump Jr. face the pictures of his children on his desk AWAY from his view, but he also has a pic of HIMSELF right there in the middle? #hmmm

• More big stars are signing on for guest spots on the upcoming Will & Grace reboot beginning September 28 on NBC. Jane Lynch and Andrew Rannells will guest star together joining previously announced appearances by Ben Platt, Harry Connick, Jr., Minnie Driver and Bobby Cannavale.

• I’m certain that Los Angeles’ 100% score on the Human Rights Campaign’s Municipal Equality Index helped the “city of angels” book the upcoming 2028 Summer Olympics & Paralympics.

• Any day is a good day for some fresh Cher. Like this new spot for GAP which pairs the diva with Future on a new take on Sly and the Family Stone’s “Everyday People.”

First Look: WILL & GRACE Reboot

Check out the First Look sneak peek at the upcoming Will & Grace reboot premiering September 28 on NBC at 9PM.

Looks like they’ve lost none of their comedic stride: Karen jamming out to Fox News, Jack angry that Brangelina co-opted his breakup week, and Grace thinks Newt Gingrich is most likely to have “aged into a lesbian.”

As earlier reported, the reboot will ignore the original series finale which makes sense 🙂

Can’t wait for the 28th!

The Today Show Goes Behind-The-Scenes Of Upcoming Will & Grace Reboot

The Today Show‘s Natalie Morales sat down with Will & Grace cast members Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Megan Mullally and Sean Hayes to get the inside story on reviving the hit TV series 11 years after the original series finale.

Along the way, we find out a few details about the character’s journeys since the show went off the air. For one thing, Will and Grace are both now divorcées having split from Vince (Bobby Cavanale) and Leo (Harry Connick Jr.), respectively.

Sean Hayes shares that his character, Jack, has trademarked a new form of acting – called “Jacting” – that he will be teaching.

And, no surprise, the four stars are loving being back together as a team. During the interview, McCormack told Morales, “When we came to work, we were like children in a kindergarten class that got along, and that just came back instantly.”

With the show already picked up for an 11th season before the upcoming 16-episode 10th season even begins airing, the fab four say they’re up for even more.

“These writers are so good. If they’ve got the stories, then yeah [I’m sticking around]!” said McCormack

“I’d still be doing it from the first time around,” Mullally added. “So yeah, I’m in!”

New Promo For Upcoming WILL & GRACE Reboot

Check out our first look at new footage from the upcoming Will & Grace reboot on NBC.

What do we learn in the short clip?

Karen still annoys Grace, Jack is on Grindr (“Grindr has gotten so skanky. I feel like I could get finger herpes just from scrolling.”), and Will is still a fierce competitor when it comes to games.

Before airing a single episode the revival has already been picked up for a second season.

Will & Grace returns with 16 new episodes on September 28th.

Bonus news – Debra Messing recently revealed on her Instagram that Harry Connick Jr. will be returning as her (former?) husband, “Leo.”

“Will & Grace” Picked Up For 2nd Season Ahead Of Reboot Debut Sept 28

Variety is reporting that NBC has already picked up a second 13-episode season for the Will & Grace reboot.

Additionally, NBC has ordered 4 more episodes for the 2017-2018 season, bringing the total to 16 episodes.

The hotly-anticipated return to the small screen of the iconic series happens on September 28.

All original Will & Grace principals – Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally – are returning.

The original Will & Grace ran on NBC from 1998 to 2006, spanning over 200 episodes. An election year mini-reunion of the cast sparked much interest and led to the eventual revival.

Rumors are swirling that the series finale in 2006, which found Will and Grace growing apart, may be jettisoned as if it never happened.

Will & Grace Covers Entertainment Weekly

“The strangest thing about it is how comfortable and natural everybody has been with the whole thing. We did this having not seen each other for 10 years and then decided one day to show up to work and got right back to it. Here we are. That’s a pretty bizarre thing.” – Will & Grace creator Max Mutchnick to Entertainment Weekly on the reboot of the iconic sitcom which returns September 28.
