Madonna dropped her new music video, “Medellín,” Wednesday featuring Colombian reggaeton star Maluma, who is waaaay sexy. The video, from her upcoming album Madame X, begins with a long shot of the pop queen praying in the distance: “Dear God, how could I trust anyone after years of disappointment and betrayal?” she whispers. “How could I not want to run away again and again? Escape. I will never be what society expects me to be.” #ClassicMadonna “Now, I’m Madame X, and Madame X loves to dance,” she concludes her prayer. “Because you can’t hit a moving target.” Cut to Madge leading a dance class in her eye-patch wearing persona of Madame X, where she meets Maluma. At this point, it’s important to repeat that Maluma is uber-charming and smoking hot.

Madonna finds Maluma way sexy, too

The dance lesson leads to some mattress dancing (which may or may not involve toe licking), and eventually a wild, raucous carnival wedding party. In between, Madge dances opposite a horse in a darkened arena, which may or may not have a clearer meaning at another time…? Did I mention that Maluma is way hot? But despite rumors that he might be gay, the Latin pop-star has laughed at those allegations. The duo will perform “Medellín” live at the 2019 Billboard Awards on May 1. And this isn’t the only collaboration with Maluma. He’s also featured on another Madame X track, “Bitch I’m Loca.” Squeeee!!! Madame X, Madonna’s 14th studio album, drops June 14.

The Queen of Pop also shared the release date for the albumwill be June 14.

Madame X will be the “Vogue” singer’s 14th studio album, and first since Rebel Heart dropped in 2015.

The track had its debut on Apple Music’s Beats1 with Zane Lowe.

Minutes before the debut of the song, Madge tweeted a reminder to her fans featuring her hunky duet partner, calling the event a “World Record.”

As I recently reported, Madonna has been confirmed to perform two songs at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv, Israel.

One track will be from her catalogue and the second from Madame Xduring the song contest’s grand finale on May 18.

Israeli-Canadian billionaire Sylvan Adams offered to cover the cost of presenting Madonna pointing to the visibility it will bring Israel.

The Jerusalem Post reported the pop star asked for $1 million to perform.

Barely a day after revealing her upcoming album will be titled, Madame X, Madonna took to social media again, this time to announce that the first single from the long-awaited LP will be “Medellín”, a duet with Latin superstar Maluma.

Wearing a gorgeous white wedding dress, Madge posed next to a royally-dressed Maluma. The image was accompanied with the simple caption, “April 17, 2019” with a large red “X” representing her new secret agent persona, Madame X.

Back on February 23, the Queen of Pop teased the collaboration with the hunky Colombian with a photo from a recording session and the caption, “Cooking up some Fuego over here!”

The sexy Latin singer posted a pic on his Instagram the same day dubbing the couple, “Ms. Crazy & Mr. Safe” with a black heart emoji.

The 25-year-old Latin Grammy Award winner has had several top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart which accounts for his huge 40+ million followers on Instagram.

“I met Madonna during the VMAs in New York,” Maluma told Billboard. “After that, I had the opportunity to spend some time with her in Los Angeles. She was in the studio and I joined her.”

“We just had a beautiful connection,” he added. “She is one of my biggest inspirations.”

We have to wait until Wednesday to check out the new single by the power-pop duo, so for now, let’s get to know Maluma a bit better.

Madonna’s Newest Album Casts The Pop Icon As Secret Agent ‘Madame X’

Madonna becomes secret agent ‘Madame X’ for her next album

Madonna thrilled her fans this weekend as she teased the title and feel for her next album with a mysterious, stylized video clip.

In the video posted to her social media, Madge shares the news at a table of friends, “I’ve decided to call my record Madame X.”

As various characters or alter egos in elaborate costumes appear on the screen, we hear Madge say, “Madame X is a secret agent traveling around the world, changing identities, fighting for freedom, bringing light to dark places.”

She goes on to rattle off a list of identities that the enigmatic secret agent embodies.

“She is a dancer, a professor, a head of state, a housekeeper, an equestrian, a prisoner, a student, a mother, a child, a teacher, a nun, a singer, a saint, a whore, and a spy – in the house of love.”

In a simple summation, “I’m Madame X.”

The video also features Madonna singing a new song, a piano-driven piece with the lyrics, “The thing that hurts the most / is that I wasn’t lost.”

The 60-year-old pop star followed up the announcement with a couple of quick clips of the mysterious ’Madame X.’

For several weeks now, the queen of pop has posted various hints on her Twitter and Instagram accounts about the new project which now come into clearer focus.

No street date announced yet, but with this announcement we’re guessing the first single could come soon.

Madame X follows the 2015 release Rebel Heart, and will be Madonna’s 14th studio album.

Madonna Will Perform Two Songs At Eurovision Grand Finale

International pop star Madonna has been confirmed for the Eurovision Grand Finale in Tel Aviv on May 18.

The Jerusalem Post reports that Madge asked for $1 million to perform two songs – one catalogue hit and one new track from her upcoming album – at the international music event.

Sylvan Adams, an Israeli-Canadian billionaire, offered to cover the cost telling the Post, “I saw the importance of bringing the iconic singer to Tel Aviv and creating a memorable historic performance.

Adams told reporters at the INTV conference that he sees the opportunity as a way to boost tourism to Israel.

“I think the more people we bring here, the more people see our true nature, and the true beauty of our country and our people, and the freedom and openness and tolerance and safety of our country,” said Adams.

Traveling with an entourage of 60 people, the 60-year-old pop icon will arrive four days before the live performance.

Madonna’s last performance in Israel was in 2012 when she launched her world tour in Tel Aviv.

Her appearance comes at a complicated time for the LGBTQ community in Israel.

On Sunday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told a group of LGBTQ activists that he would not promise to promote LGBTQ equality.

In February, the Association for LGBTQ Equality sent a report to Israel’s President Rivlin which documented a 54% jump from 2017 to 2018 in homophobic incidents.

The Queen of Pop writes: “30 years ago today I released Like a Prayer and made a video that caused so much controversy because I kissed a black saint and danced in front of burning crosses! I also made a commercial with PEPSI that was banned because my video was seen as inappropriate. Happy Birthday to Me and Controversy! #likeaprayer meant to post this yesterday but was blocked! what a shocker!”

Madonna To Be Honored As “Advocate For Change” At GLAAD Media Awards

GLAAD will recognize Madonna, the Queen of Pop, with this year’s Advocate for Change Award at the GLAAD Media Awards in New York City on May 4.

Madge is the first woman, and only the second person, to receive the honor. President Bill Clinton was the first to receive the award in 2013.

It’s a fitting accolade for the international music star and longtime LGBTQ ally who has supported the community since the beginning of her stellar career in the 1980s.

“Change” is certainly a word we all can attribute to Madonna. Not only for her own ever-evolving pop culture persona, but for the way she impacts the world around her.

Madge hasn’t just ‘talked the talk,’ but truly walked the walk when it comes to addressing issues important to LGBTQ people.

From performing at early AIDS benefits, speaking out for more action by the federal government on the AIDS epidemic, and including crucial information about the disease in a flyer packaged with her album Like A Prayer.

She’s raised her voice calling for LGBTQ protections and equality in far-flung countries like Russia, Romania and Malawi.

In 2010, when two men were sentenced to 14 years in prison for marrying in Malawi, she didn’t hesitate to speak out.

“As a matter of principle, I believe in equal rights for all people, no matter what their gender, race, color, religion, or sexual orientation. This week, Malawi took a giant step backward. The world is filled with pain and suffering; therefore, we must support our basic human right to love and be loved.”

Addressing the bullying of LGBTQ youth and the high incidence of LGBTQ youth suicide have also been high on Madge’s agenda.

Truly, “Advocate for Change” is a fitting title for the Golden Globe and Grammy Award winner.

This won’t be her first trip to the GLAAD Awards, either.

In 2013, she presented CNN’s Anderson Cooper with the prestigious Vito Russo Award.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the GLAAD Media Awards as well as the 30th anniversary of her mega-hit album, Like a Prayer, which spawned huge hits like “Express Yourself,” “Like a Prayer,” and “Cherish.”

Funds raised from the GLAAD Media Awards support GLAAD’s crucial programs working to accelerate acceptance for LGBTQ people.

Madonna surprised the crowd last night with a midnight appearance at the iconic Stonewall Inn in New York City.

Madge was recently named a ‘Stonewall Ambassador’ by Pride Live to help bring awareness to this year’s 50th anniversary of the Stonewall uprising on June 28, 2019. In honor of the anniversary, World Pride is being held in New York City this year.

Appearing onstage in an appropriate melange of leather, chains and glitter, the Queen of Pop noted, “This is the smallest stage I’ve ever been on.”

She then went on to address the diverse crowd about the memory and revolution of Stonewall (via Boy Culture):

“I see you! I stand here, proudly, at the place where Pride began, the legendary Stonewall Inn, and the birth of a new year.

“We come together tonight to celebrate 50 years of revolution. Fifty years of freedom-fighting. Fifty years of blood, sweat and tears — can I get an amen?! Fifty years of sacrifice. Fifty years of standing up to discrimination, hatred and — worst of all — indifference.

“And it all started here, at Stonewall. Let us never forget the Stonewall Riots and those who bravely stood up and said, Enough. Enough brutality, enough violence inflicted on this community, enough stigmatism, enough oppression, enough pain and suffering.

“We must never forget where we came from.”

Madonna then launched into an acoustic version of her mega-hit “Like A Prayer.” That was followed by a duet of the Elvis classic, “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” with her son, David, on guitar.
