Mark Ponder, 56, has been sentenced to more than five years in prison for attacking police officers with poles during the violent January 6 invasion of the U.S. Capitol building.

Mark Ponder, 56, has been sentenced to more than five years in prison for attacking police officers with poles during the violent January 6 invasion of the U.S. Capitol building. A former White House aide testified today that Donald Trump demanded to be taken to the U.S. Capitol building after the rally on January 6. When told no, he reportedly reached for the steering wheel and also tried to grab a Secret Service member's throat. Whoa. Cassidy Hutchinson, an aide to Mark Meadows, then-Chief of Staff to Donald Trump, testified today that Trump demanded to be taken to Capitol after the January 6 rally.
