Donald Trump’s “Yuuuge” Twitter Following Has A LOT Of Fake/Inactive Accounts

Donald Trump and his team love to boast about his “yuuuge” social media following. Especially on Twitter.

But an analysis by SocialRank shows Trump’s following might have a “yuuuge” percentage of fake followers.

According to SocialRank:

• 10.2 million Trump followers (25.5%)  as of Oct. 10  have yet to share any content on Twitter

• 18.9 million of his followers have not shared content in more than a year

• more than 300,000 accounts following @realDonaldTrump only follow his account

• 13.7 million accounts (33%) have yet to set a profile photo (“egg accounts”) and rarely tweet – totally an indication of a fake follower

• 46% of the accounts haven’t tweeted in the past year

• 66% of the accounts haven’t tweeted in the past 90 days

• 74% of the accounts have fewer than 50 followers

Also suspicious – a huge number of Trump’s followers created their accounts after he announced his candidacy for president in June 2015:

• 56.7% of Trump’s followers, as of Oct. 9, created their accounts after Trump announced he was running for president

• 37.7% of the accounts were created after he was elected in November 2016

Noteworthy – only 6.7 % of Hillary Clinton‘s 19.2 million followers are inactive.

Virginia: Dem Candidate For Governor Slaps Back After Trump Twitter Attack

Donald Trump took to Twitter this morning to campaign for the Republican candidate for Virginia governor, Ed Gillespie, who is currently trailing in the polls by about 4 points.

“Ed Gillespie will turn the really bad Virginia economy #’s around, and fast. Strong on crime, he might even save our great statues/heritage!” wrote Trump.

He also took a swipe at the Democratic candidate, Ralph Northam, saying “His opponent doesn’t even show up to meetings/work, and will be VERY weak on crime!”

Just four minutes later, Northam, a military veteran and physician, slapped back: “I served 8 years in the Army, took care of sick kids, and am running to build a more inclusive Virginia. Don’t talk to me about showing up.”

BOOM!

Talk about “showing up,” Northam was the volunteer director of a children’s hospital for eighteen years.

Fox News Poll: Trump Approval Rating Plummets To New Low

More bad news for Donald Trump – and this comes from the very Trump-friendly Fox News.

The Trumpster’s job approval rating dropped to a new Fox News poll low of only 38%, down 4 points from last month’s 42%.

Additionally, his disapproval rating jumped up 4 points to a high of 57%.

Interestingly, among those Trump has lost favor with are white men without a college degree. Trump dropped 12 points in one month in that particular demographic, and they were a big part of his election win.

White evangelicals are also taking a dimmer view of the president as he plummets 8 points from last month’s poll to only 56% of those voters giving him a thumbs up. On election night last November, he got 80% of their vote.

Voters also give the Trump administration negative ratings regarding how it responded to the Puerto Rico hurricane (-32), mass shooting in Las Vegas (-23), and the California wildfires (-21).

New Ad Calls For Impeachment Of Trump – “A Clear And Present Danger Who Is Mentally Unstable”

Check out this new ad I noticed yesterday on CNN calling for the impeachment of Donald Trump.

California billionaire Tom Steyer, who spent more than $75 million during the 2016 election to get millennials involved in progressive causes, has produced the spot as the part of a $10 million campaign calling for President Donald Trump’s impeachment.

“A Republican Congress once impeached a president for far less. And today, people in Congress and his own administration know that this President is a clear and present danger who is mentally unstable and armed with nuclear weapons,” says Steyer.

Note the tone of Steyer’s voice. This is not a wild, reckless rant.

I appreciate the sentiment but, of course, articles of impeachment will not be forthcoming from a Republican-controlled House of Representatives.

Now, should the Dems regain control of the House in next year’s mid-term elections, who knows?

Sen. Bob Corker: I Don’t Think There’s Any Question Donald Trump Is “Debasing The Nation”

Speaking to reporters this morning, Republican Sen. Bob Corker of Tennessee was asked by Mary K. Bruce of ABC News if he felt Donald Trump was “debasing” the United States with his behavior.

Corker was unequivocal in his response: “I don’t think there’s any question.”

In the same interview, Corker said he had hoped Trump would “rise to the occasion as president to lead our nation, instead of dividing it.”

In another interview with CNN, Corker had much more to say, including:

“I would hope the staff over there would figure out ways of controlling him when they know that everything he said today was absolutely untrue.”

“I think that he’s proven himself unable to rise to the occasion … I don’t think that that’s possible. He’s obviously not going to rise to the occasion as president.”

“The President has great difficulty with the truth. On many issues.”

“I don’t know why he lowers himself to such a low, low standard, and debases our country in a way that he does, but he does.”

“I think world leaders are very aware that much of what he says is untrue.”

Clearly, the Trumpster was watching. Check out the Twitter rant below from Trump this morning.

But Corker won the exchange tweeting, “Same untruths from an utterly untruthful president.” #AlertTheDayCareStaff

The hashtag #AlertTheDayCareStaff immediately began trending on Twitter.

File this one under “Infighting is funny.” It’s obvious that Corker, who has announced he will not seek reelection next year, has zero fucks left to give about the Trump presidency.

CNN Trolls Trump Without Using His Name In New “Facts First” Campaign

Brilliant.

CNN’s new campaign “Facts First,” is clearly meant as a commentary on Donald Trump’s practice of repeating well-debunked lies (often in all caps) hoping they somehow morph into truth via repetition.

The text of the video reads:

This is an apple.
Some people might try to tell you it’s a banana.
They might scream banana, banana, banana.
Or put banana in all caps.
You might even start to believe that this is a banana.
But it’s not.
This is an apple.

McCain On THE VIEW: “I’ve Faced Greater Challenges” Than Attacks By Donald Trump

Appearing on The View today, where his daughter Meghan is a new co-host, Sen. John McCain was asked if he was “afraid” of retaliation from Donald Trump after some of McCain’s public statements about Trump.

McCain proceeded to laugh for a solid 15 seconds before shrugging, “I’ve mentioned that I’ve faced greater challenges.”

McCain also took another veiled swipe at Trump’s “bone spur” deferments from the Vietnam War, as well as Trump’s attacks on Gold Star families and accusations that Barack Obama was not born an American.

Donald Trump Calls Widow Of Fallen Soldier A Liar

It’s now day 8 of Donald Trump disrespecting a Gold Star family once again.

Myeshia Johnson spoke to Good Morning America about the now infamous phone call from Donald Trump regarding her husband’s death that Johnson says was insensitive and hurtful.

Myeshia’s husband, Sgt. La David Johnson, was killed in action in Niger on October 4 of this year.

Here’s part of Johnson’s interview today.

Of course, rather than let this all go and be presidential, Trump had to fire back via Twitter this morning basically calling Johnson’s widow a liar.
