The Supreme Court will allow the Trump administration to cancel temporary protections from nearly 350,000 Venezuelan immigrants that allowed them to remain in the United States legally without risk of deportation under a program known as Temporary Protected Status. The Supreme Court has extended the freeze on the Trump administration’s use of the Alien Enemies Act for deportations. In a 7-2 vote the court ruled that Trump violated the due process rights of Venezuelan migrants in its expedited removal efforts using the 18th century wartime law.
