Capitol Rioter Sentenced To 87 Months In Prison

Guy Reffitt, convicted of five felony offenses - including obstruction of Congress as it met to certify the 2020 election result, interfering with police and carrying a firearm to a riot - has been sentenced to 87 months in prison.

Guy Reffitt, convicted of five felony offenses – including obstruction of Congress as it met to certify the 2020 election result, interfering with police and carrying a firearm to a riot – has been sentenced to 87 months in prison. Following the deadly riots on January 6 at the U.S. Capitol building, Reffitt (a member of the far-right Three Percenters) threatened his teenage son and daughter. “If you turn me in, you’re a traitor, and traitors get shot,” his son testified at the trial. A former White House aide testified today that Donald Trump demanded to be taken to the U.S. Capitol building after the rally on January 6. When told no, he reportedly reached for the steering wheel and also tried to grab a Secret Service member's throat. Whoa. Cassidy Hutchinson, an aide to Mark Meadows, then-Chief of Staff to Donald Trump, testified today that Trump demanded to be taken to Capitol after the January 6 rally. 45% Say Trump Responsible For Capitol Invasion
