Karamo Brown’s Rift With ‘Queer Eye’ Co-Stars + More

Some news items for you as we head into the weekend.

TMZ: Folks were surprised when Queer Eye’s Karamo Brown was a no-show for press appearances this week. According to a source “familiar with the situation,” the rift between Brown and some co-stars began during production of the show’s final season in Washington, D.C. when his mother overheard three cast members talking about Brown.

Pink News: The LGBTQ Sports Hall of Fame announced 10 new inductees this week including former NFL player Ryan O’Callaghan and former WNBA player Sue Wicks. The induction ceremony will be held on June 25 in New York City.

KOLD: After nearly five decades, Tucson Pride, one of Arizona’s oldest LGBTQ organizations, is no more. The group’s Board of Directors voted to dissolve the organization and cancel the annual Tucson Pride Festival scheduled for February citing financial issues including a nationwide drop in LGBTQ sponsorships and donations.

New York Times: An FBI agent who sought to investigate the ICE officer who fatally shot Renee Good in Minneapolis this month has resigned from the bureau after bureau leadership in Washington pressured her to discontinue a civil rights inquiry into the officer. Such inquiries are a common investigative step in similar shootings.

MS NOW: In related news, the Justice Department sought a warrant to investigate Renee Good for possible “criminal liability,” but a federal magistrate judge rejected the warrant, noting that Good was already dead and could not be considered a suspect for a warrant.

CNN: Trump says he has a “framework” of a Greenland deal being brokered by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. That “framework” sounds a LOT like the existing 1951 agreement between the U.S. and Denmark regarding military presence in Greenland.
