• Outsports: U.S. speedskater Conor McDermott-Mostowy made history this week, becoming the first out gay male Olympic speedskater as he competed in the men’s 1,000 meters. • Outsports: American skier Breezy Johnson became the first out LGBTQ athlete (and the first American athlete) to win a gold medal at the Milan Winter Olympics.
• LGBTQ Nation: After three decades, the organizers of Disney Gay Days — the unofficial annual fan event where LGBTQ+ people visit the Disney World theme park in Orlando, Florida — cancelled this year’s event citing the current political climate and loss of sponsorships. • TMZ: Folks were surprised when Queer Eye’s Karamo Brown was a no-show for press appearances this week. According to a source “familiar with the situation,” the rift between Brown and some co-stars began during production of the show’s final season in Washington, D.C. when his mother overheard three cast members talking about Brown.
