Autopsy: Renee Good Killed By 3rd Gunshot Through Driver’s Side Window

An autopsy by a medical pathologist has found that Renee Good, who was fatally shot by an ICE agent in Minneapolis earlier this month, suffered 3 clear gunshot wounds. She also suffered a graze wound “consistent with a firearm injury, but with no penetration.”

The report shows the first two shots were not life-threatening. It was the third shot – fired through the driver’s side window when the officer was clearly not in any danger – that killed Good.

From NBC News:

One of the injuries was to Good’s left forearm, the lawyers said in a statement, while another gunshot struck her right breast without piercing major organs. Neither of those wounds was immediately life-threatening, the attorneys said.

A third shot entered the left side of Good’s head near the temple and exited on the right side, according to the statement, and she also appeared to have sustained a graze wound.

The attorneys said the autopsy was conducted by a “highly respected” and credentialed independent medical pathologist.

“We believe the evidence we are gathering and will continue to gather in our investigation will suffice to prove our case,” lead attorney Antonio M. Romanucci said in the statement.

Multiple gunshots could be heard before Good’s SUV crashed into a parked vehicle. On a video recorded by Ross, a male voice could be heard saying “f—–g bitch” moments before the crash.

Records show paramedics found Good “unresponsive with a weak pulse.” You may recall a doctor was present at the time of the shooting and an ICE agent prevented the doc from performing CPR or any other medical aid that might have saved her life.

Results of an official autopsy conducted by the Hennepin County medical examiner’s office have yet to be released.
