Karamo Brown’s Rift With ‘Queer Eye’ Co-Stars + More

Some news items for you as we head into the weekend.

• TMZ: Folks were surprised when Queer Eye’s Karamo Brown was a no-show for press appearances this week. According to a source “familiar with the situation,” the rift between Brown and some co-stars began during production of the show’s final season in Washington, D.C. when his mother overheard three cast members talking about Brown.

Autopsy: Renee Good Killed By 3rd Gunshot Through Driver’s Side Window

An autopsy by a medical pathologist has found that Renee Good, who was fatally shot by an ICE agent in Minneapolis earlier this month, suffered 3 clear gunshot wounds. She also suffered a graze wound “consistent with a firearm injury, but with no penetration.”

The report shows the first two shots were not life-threatening. It was the third shot – fired through the driver’s side window when the officer was clearly not in any danger – that killed Good. Continue reading “Autopsy: Renee Good Killed By 3rd Gunshot Through Driver’s Side Window”

• LGBTQ Nation: The family of Renee Good, who was shot by an ICE officer earlier this week in Minneapolis, has closed donations to a GoFundMe campaign  launched to pay for funeral expenses after the initial goal of $50,000 was exceeded raising over $1.5 million.

• New Music: Pop artist Micah McLaurin has released his new single “How Can I.” Drawing on his experience of growing up in a southern, religious family who wanted him to conform, “How Can I” is Micah’s most personal song to date as he grapples with forgiving his parents who repeatedly rejected him for who he is.
