Ivanka Trump Sees “No Equivalency” To Her Private Email Use Compared To Hillary Clinton

Ivanka Trump tells ABC News today the recent revelation that she’s used a private email account while doing government business has no “equivalency” in comparison to Hillary Clinton, who her father bashed over and over again for during the 2016 presidential campaign.

She says her personal email use was focused on “mainly scheduling and logistics and managing the fact that I have a home life and a work life.”

From Good Morning America:

Speaking with ABC News’ Deborah Roberts in Wilder, Idaho, where she’s promoting STEM initiatives alongside Apple CEO Tim Cook, Ivanka Trump maintained that all of the emails on her private account were properly archived and contained no classified information. She is adamant they bear no resemblance to Hillary Clinton’s email scandal, which her father eagerly and frequently condemned as part of his campaign for president.

“All of my emails are stored and preserved. There were no deletions. There is no attempt to hide,” she said, adding, “There’s no equivalency to what my father’s spoken about.”

In truth, Ivanka is correct to a degree – there is no equivalency.

Hillary left the State Department in 2013 and did not violate the actual Federal Records Act law that was amended in 2014 like Ivanka did.

Ivanka also pushed back at the idea her father had authorized “lethal force” on migrants. And then GMA played the video tape of him using that exact phrase.

Trump’s Epic Meltdown Over Mueller/Manafort/Wikileaks News

Donald Trump began his Tuesday ‘executive time’ by tweeting an epic rant over the latest news that Special Counsel Robert Mueller has announced former Trump campaign chair Paul Manafort repeatedly lied to his investigators after receiving a plea deal.

Mueller now says any request for leniency for Manafort is off the table.

I’m telling you now – Manafort is pulling his shenanigans because Trump has promised a pardon.

This may have something to do with the state of the matter: The Guardian is reporting today that Manafort held secret talks with Julian Assange, inside the Ecuadorian embassy in London, in 2013, 2015 and in Spring 2016, around the time Trump named him as his convention manager.

Report: Mueller Says Paul Manafort Violated Plea Deal, Lied To Investigators

Major media outlets are reporting that former chair of Donald Trump's presidential campaign has lied Special Counsel Robert Mueller thus voiding his plea agreement for leniency in sentencing.
Paul Manafort

Major media outlets are reporting that former chair of Donald Trump’s presidential campaign has lied Special Counsel Robert Mueller thus voiding his plea agreement for leniency in sentencing.

From The New York Times:

Mr. Manafort’s “crimes and lies” during a series of interviews with prosecutors working for the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, and the F.B.I. relieve them of all promises they made to him in the plea agreement reached in mid-September, investigators wrote in the filing.

A jury in Northern Virginia convicted Mr. Manafort, 69, of eight counts of financial fraud in August stemming from his work as a political consultant in Ukraine. Faced with a second trial in the District of Columbia on related charges in September, he pleaded guilty to two conspiracy counts and to an open-ended arrangement requiring him to answer “fully, truthfully, completely and forthrightly” questions about “any and all matters” of interest to the government.

Without a motion from prosecutors asking for leniency, Mr. Manafort is expected to face a prison term of at least 10 years for his crimes. He is scheduled to be sentenced in the Northern Virginia case on Feb. 8.

Wall Street Journal Concludes Trump Was Behind ‘Hush Money’ Payments

The Wall Street Journal, a conservative newspaper I will point out, has issued its report on the hush money payments by Donald Trump to former Playmate Susan McDougal and porn star Stormy Daniels.

The Wall Street Journal, a conservative newspaper I will point out, has issued its report on the hush money payments by Donald Trump to former Playmate Susan McDougal and porn star Stormy Daniels.

The report itself is behind the newspaper’s firewall, but CNBC has the receipts:

President Donald Trump was involved in “nearly every step” of hush-money agreements with multiple women who claimed they had sexual affairs before he became president, The Wall Street Journal reported Friday.

The newspaper, citing dozens of interviews and document, also reported that Trump may have violated federal campaign-finance laws through his participation in the deals. Trump has denied knowing about a $130,000 payment made to Stormy Daniels, an adult film star and director who alleges she had sex with Trump in 2006.

The Journal reported that Trump, as a presidential candidate, “directed deals in phone calls and meetings” related to the women with Cohen. The U.S. attorney’s office in Manhattan, which prosecuted Cohen, has reportedly also collected evidence of Trump’s involvement in the agreements.

Stormy Daniels’ lawyer, Michael Avenatti, took to Twitter to make sure folks knew about the reporting.

If you aren’t a subscribe to The Wall Street Journal, you can watch the video report below as the WSJ team breaks down the information and series of events they have uncovered.

Again – this is a conservative-leaning news paper. The WSJ is no ‘liberal’ anything. Watch below.

Trump Says He Regrets His “Tone” Of First Two Years In Office

Facing a strong possibility of a Democratic takeover of the House, Donald Trump has suddenly had a change of heart regarding the “tone” of his first two years in office.

Speaking to a reporter for right-leaning Sinclair Broadcast Group, Trump was asked if he had any regrets from his first two years.

His answer:

“I would like to have a much softer tone. I feel to a certain extent I have no choice, but maybe I do. Maybe I could have been softer from that standpoint, but I want to get things done.”

“I’m not sure that if I did that maybe I’d be swamped, meaning swamped by the other side because their tone hasn’t been so nice either,” he added.

“But that will be something that I’ll say I’ll be working on.”

“I would love to get along, and I think after the election a lot of things can happen. But right now they are in their mode, and we are in our mode. And you know if you’re criticized you have to hit back, or you should,” Trump said.

This mea culpa comes as White House staffers prepare for what could possibly be an onslaught of investigations launched by a Dem-controlled House.

SNL: The Only Sleep Aid Strong Enough For Sarah Huckabee Sanders

Andy Bryant as “Sarah Huckabee Sanders”

I meant to post this spoof ad from this weekend’s Saturday Night Live yesterday.

The folks at SNL have been wondering how White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders manages to sleep at night after sharing lie after lie in defense of Donald Trump.

The answer, it seems, is “HuckaPM,” an over the counter sleep-aid that contains “Melatonin, Extra Strength Quaaludes, and what Michael Jackson’s doctor called ‘One and Dones.'”

Props to Aidy Bryant for her excellent physical comedy here.

WH Press Secretary Delivers Podium Rant Then Storms Out Of Press Briefing

Sarah Huckabee Sanders

After fielding questions regarding whether Donald Trump is responsible to some degree for inspiring disturbed people to send pipe bombs or shoot up a Pittsburgh synagogue, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders went on a lengthy tirade from the podium today.

Sanders told reporters “it would be nice if every once in a while we could focus on a few of the positive things the President has done instead of just attacking him.”

Sanders also erroneously declared that Trump had won the election “with an overwhelming majority of 63 million people.” As has been pointed out many times, Hillary Clinton beat Trump in the popular vote by millions.

She ended the rant by abruptly closing her notes and leaving the room. Watch below.

Sanders defended Trump saying at one point that “the president is not placing blame,” and yet this morning he tweeted a new attack on the press:

Trump Admits “No Proof” Any ‘Middle Eastern Terrorists’ Amid The Migrant Caravan In Mexico

After stoking fears about "middle Eastern terrorists" being hidden in the midst of the caravan of migrants moving north through Mexico to the United States' border, Donald Trump admitted today he has "no proof" that there actually ARE any terrorists traveling amid the caravan.
Donald Trump

After stoking fears about “middle Eastern terrorists” being hidden in the midst of the caravan of migrants moving north through Mexico to the United States’ border, Donald Trump admitted today he has “no proof” that there actually ARE any terrorists traveling amid the caravan.

Via Mediaite:

CNN’s Jim Acosta asked if he’s saying that there are terrorists in the caravan. Trump said “there could very well be,” adding, “I have very good information.”

He tagged in Vice President Mike Pence to talk about his call with the president of Honduras, and he said at one point it’s “inconceivable there would not be individuals from the Middle East as part of this growing caravan.” Acosta asked him directly if he has evidence of terrorists in the caravan, as opposed to just citing statistics.

Trump jumped in to say he’s spoken with the border patrol and they’ve intercepted “many people from the Middle East” and even ISIS at the border. Acosta again asked, “Are they in the caravan?” “They could very well be,” the President responded. “But there’s no proof,” Acosta noted.

“There’s no proof of anything. There’s no proof of anything. But they very well could be.”

Well, that settles that, huh?

Trump’s Latest Lies Are Even More Astounding Than Usual

Donald Trump

Donald Trump continues to make up his own facts as he campaigns in the weeks before the midterm elections.

Before heading to Texas yesterday, the Trumpster took questions in front of Marine One.

At one point, he told reporters he plans on a new “middle class tax cut” that he says will be “putting in” in the next week or so.

Tax legislation has to be passed by Congress, and Congress is not in session again until after the midterms.

Here’s the exchange per WhiteHouse.gov:

Q You said “lower tax cuts.” You said that you wanted tax cuts by November 1st. Congress isn’t even in session. How is that possible?

THE PRESIDENT: No, we’re going to be passing — no, no. We’re putting in a resolution sometime in the next week, or week and a half, two weeks.

Q A resolution where?

THE PRESIDENT: We’re going to put in — we’re giving a middle-income tax reduction of about 10 percent. We’re doing it now for middle-income people. This is not for business; this is for middle. That’s on top of the tax decrease that we’ve already given them.

Q Are you signing an executive order for that?

THE PRESIDENT: No. No. No. I’m going through Congress.

Q But Congress isn’t in session though.

THE PRESIDENT: We won’t have time to do the vote. We’ll do the vote later.

Q Congress is out.

THE PRESIDENT: We’ll do the vote after the election.

Trust and believe, there will be no “middle class tax cut” in the next week or two.

Additionally, Trump has been extremely resistant to believe that the Saudi Arabian government was involved in the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, even though a mountain of evidence is turning up daily.

Trump’s primary reticence is due in part to an arms deal his administration did with the Saudis that he doesn’t want to endanger because he says it would cost the U.S. jobs.

Initially, he said the arms deal would create 450,000 jobs.

Then, just days later, he told Fox Business that the deal would create 500,000 jobs.

On Friday that number had grown to 600,000 jobs, and by Saturday the Donald said 1 million American jobs rely on all Saudi investments, which total $450 billion.

According to numbers for 2016, only 355,500 people worked in the U.S. defense and national security sector according to the U.S. Aerospace and Industries Association.

Suddenly one arms deal is going to triple that figure?

One more lie to note from the Trumpster:

The president has told folks at his campaign rallies that there are “middle Eastern terrorists” in the midst of the migrant caravan making it’s way towards the United States.

News networks have taken camera crews down to the caravan and looked for middle Eastern terrorists. Nope, none to be found. Watch the report below from CNN.

Out of the blue, Donald Trump informed the Twitterverse yesterday that he “always” capitalizes the word “Country.”

Except, he doesn’t.

Clearly, the stage was primed and ready for the citizens of Twitter to respond:
