Senate Committee Rejects Trump Proposal To End Life-Saving HIV Programs

The Senate Appropriations Committee dismissed the Trump administration’s plan to end the CDC’s initiatives for HIV prevention and monitoring, along with significant proposed reductions to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) budget.

CBNC: Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (a prominent vaccine skeptic) has announced he is removing all 17 sitting members of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s vaccine advisory committee and replacing them with new members.

Outsports: Mark Shields is the first active Gaelic athlete to come out as gay since 2009. Shields has played senior gaelic football for more than a decade with Armagh.
