In advance of her upcoming appearance before a Congressional hearing regarding questions about the use of a private email server, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign has released this spot highlighting her many accomplishments.
The video is a virtual “sizzle reel” of her work at the State Department that includes endorsements and testimonials from Cabinet officials and other high level politicos praising Clinton’s diplomatic work.
According to the Washington Post, the campaign will also organize public appearances and outreach by prominent surrogates to make a case this week that Clinton’s four years as secretary of state are anything but a liability.
It’s worth noting that although she left the State department with approval ratings well into the high 60%, Donald Trump (who previous to his own campaign praised her) now calls her tenure a disaster.
At a campaign stop at Keene State College in New Hampshire, Hillary Clinton was asked about how she sees her support for the LGBT community versus her competitors, and about her “evolution” on supporting same-sex marriage.
“Yes my views did evolve, and I think most people my age would say the same thing — there might be some exceptions.
“But largely because of my strong opposition to discrimination of any sort and my personal relationships with a lot of people over the years, I certainly concluded that marriage equality should be the law of the land, and I was thrilled when the Supreme Court made it the law of the land.”
Pointing out she was the first First Lady to march in a Gay Pride parade, she also spoke of her relationship with The Human Rights Campaign (“they count on me”), and also mentioned that passage of The Equality Act saying it would be her “highest priority.”
A new Suffolk University poll has good news for the Hillary Clinton campaign in New Hampshire.
Clearly, her strong performance at this week’s Democratic debate made a good impression on New Hampshire voters as she has regained the lead in the Granite State.
The results of the new survey show Hillary at 37% and Sanders at 35%. That’s within the error of margin, but a clear improvement over past weeks.
Regarding the debate specifically, among the 283 polled who watched the two hour event, 54% said Clinton was the winner; 24% chose Sanders.
New Hampshire Democrats also pick Clinton as having the best chance to win in the general election next fall – 52% majority favoring Clinton, while only 16% who look to Sanders.

According to a new HuffPost/YouGov poll, a majority of registered Democratic voters felt former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton won Tuesday night’s Democratic debate.
A 55 percent majority of registered Democratic voters who watched the debate said Clinton won. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), who saw a surge in online interest and fundraising, was a distant second, with only 22 percent saying he was the best of the night.
Clinton also saw an uptick in the proportion of Democrats who say they want her to be the party’s presidential nominee. Before the debate, 44 percent of registered Democrats said they wanted Clinton to be the nominee. After the debate, the figure had risen to 52 percent.

A few weeks ago, House Majority Leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy accidentally revealed that the GOP focus of the congressional committee “investigating” the deaths of four Americans in Benghazi is actually on bringing down Hillary Clinton’s presidential candidacy.
Now, another GOP lawmaker, Rep. Richard Hanna of Central New York, has admitted the same during a radio interview.
Via Syracuse.com:
“This may not be politically correct, but I think that there was a big part of this investigation that was designed to go after people – an individual: Hillary Clinton,” Hanna said in a live interview with Utica radio station WIBX (950 AM).
Clinton’s campaign responded, “Yet another House Republican has admitted the House Select Committee on Benghazi is a politically motivated sham intended to damage Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.”
In September, House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., talked about the success of the committee’s investigation in hurting Clinton’s poll numbers. McCarthy later said he misspoke.
A former staffer for the Benghazi committee came forward this past weekend and claimed that the panel’s chairman, Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., fired him for not keeping the investigation focused on Clinton.
“Kevin McCarthy basically blew himself up with that comment over the Benghazi committee,” Hanna said, adding, “Sometimes the biggest sin you can commit in D.C. is to tell the truth.”

This ran during the Democratic debate in several markets, paid for by the anti-Clinton Stop Hillary PAC.
Truly a new low in campaign tactics as the group puts words in the mouths of the four Americans killed in Benghazi.
And the questions allude to serious distortions of the truth. There have already eight Congressional investigations into the attack in Benghazi and every single GOP-led investigation concluded former Secretary of State Clinton did nothing wrong in the matter.
This is really distasteful and disrespectful.
