• Washington Blade: The Montana Supreme Court has ruled a 2023 state law that bans life-saving gender-affirming care for transgender youth is unconstitutional. The ruling will allow Montana families to continue accessing medical treatments for transgender minors with gender dysphoria. • BBC: LGBT veterans in the UK who were dismissed from the armed forces for being gay will be eligible to receive up to £70,000 in compensation and will be able to apply to have their rank restored and discharge reason amended.
• TIME: Donald Trump says he plans to pardon “a vast majority” of January 6 rioters saying they should not be in jail and they’ve “suffered greatly.” • OUT Magazine: 15 years after retiring from the CFL, Maven Maurer finally got the opportunity to be her true self on a football field. The longtime Canadian fullback (who came out as trans in 2023) was one of several players in attendance when the B.C. Lions inducted their 2000 Grey Cup championship team into the Wall of Fame earlier this year.
