Salt Lake Tribune: Utah’s Senate President J. Stuart Adams prompted a law change that helped an 18-year-old charged with child rape involving a 13-year-old. The 18-year-old in question is related to Adams.

LGBTQ Nation: Anti-LGBTQ+ hate crimes in the U.S. remain high even as overall crime has decreased. Over half of sexual orientation-based hate crimes involved anti-gay male bias.

New York Times: Donald Trump reportedly told European leaders he intends to meet privately with President Vladimir Putin of Russia before a meeting with Putin and President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine. Remember when he boasted he could solve the Ukraine conflict in “24 hours?”

The Hill: In an average of polls, New York City Democratic mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani leads former Gov. Andrew Cuomo in the race with 38.1% support, followed by Cuomo, who is running an independent campaign after losing the Democratic primary, with 25%.
