Police officers outnumbered the demonstrators at the so-called ‘Justice for J6 rally in Washington D.C. meant to show support for the insurrectionists who violently attacked the U.S. Capitol building on January 6.
WASHINGTON ― A far-right rally in support of those who attacked the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 fizzled out amid fears that law enforcement might track the extremists who showed up for it. https://t.co/RaUiU3J1Bs

What an adorable tiny sore loser rally. Starbucks stays more packed than this. Real #JusticeforJ6 would be the arrest of all the domestic terrorists who stormed the capitol that day. pic.twitter.com/Kc0mGwiq2R

Organizers of the rally say that many of the hundreds of people charged in connection to the violent invasion of the Capitol were just exercising their constitutional right to political protest. Except we’ve all seen the hours of video footage showing broken windows, doors, assaults on police officers… A tweet from the U.S. Capitol Police estimated about 400 to 450 ‘Justice for J6’ demonstrators were inside the protest area.
Approximately 400 to 450 people were inside the protest area today (excluding law enforcement).

https://twitter.com/ProjectLincoln/status/1439306446970265610 Law enforcement had reportedly received similar intelligence reports to those before the January 6 incident. So temporary fencing around the Capitol was erected and multiple congressional offices were closed. Additionally, local police departments and the U.S. National Guard were on standby. More from the Washington Post:
The rally’s poor attendance comes as no surprise. Organizers said they expected about 700 attendees, but many influential figures on the far right actually discouraged their followers from showing up, asserting the event was a trap.
Baseless rumors have ricocheted through social media to the effect that the federal government was attempting to lure demonstrators to Washington to arrest them, and that left-wing activists disguised themselves as Trump supporters would deliberately cause trouble.

The very small crowd size at the #JusticeforJ6 traitorous rally shows the waning influence of the former President. https://t.co/zdf0GCTlFs
