A peer-reviewed study spearheaded by The Trevor Project found that so-called conversion therapy, the harmful practice of attempting to change a person’s sexual orientation or gender identity, costs the U.S. an estimated $9.23 billion each year. President Joe Biden announced today the U.S. will ban all Russian oil and gas in order to punish Putin and not fund his war on Ukraine. Some news items you might have missed: • New York Times: President Biden announced the U.S. is banning all Russian oil and gas imports so that we don’t help fund Putin’s war on Ukraine. It’s a gutsy move on Biden’s part as he knows Americans will blame presidents for gas prices, even though they really have practically no authority over gas prices. But it’s the right thing to do.
