Some news items you might have missed: • The Advocate: North Dakota lawmakers are advancing a resolution calling on the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn Obergefell v. Hodges, the 2015 ruling that established marriage equality nationwide. It’s worth mentioning the resolution has no force of law. • CBS News: Meanwhile over in Michigan, state Rep. Report: Ukraine & U.S. Agree To Framework For Minerals Deal
Two sources tell the Washington Post that the U.S. and Ukraine have agreed to a framework for a minerals deal wherein Ukraine would jointly develop their mineral resources (including oil and gas) with help from the U.S. The new deal would reportedly allow 50% of future proceeds from new mineral projects to go into a fund controlled by the U.S. but for only investing in Ukrainian projects.
