Life in the Twitters. Gus Kenworthy commented on a video posted on Twitter by YouTube star Tyler Oakley where a hot guy in the subway riffed on the current “Finish the lyric…” trend. Said Kenworthy, “‘Oh damn he cute’ and then I realized that I’ve hooked up with him and if that is not gay culture I don’t know what is…” #gaylife
I thought, “oh damn he cute” and then I realized that I’ve hooked up with him and if that is not gay culture I don’t know what is…
Sean Patrick Murray in ‘Bad Gay’ Sean Patrick Murray, co-creator of the Netflix series Westside, wants you to know he’s a ‘bad gay.’ Murray teamed up with Emmy Award-winning choreographer Travis Wall for this parody of the Billie Eilish hit, “Bad Guy.” In his take on the pop-bop, Murray wants to share that he’s “the bad type” of gay. You know, the ‘best friends with your mom type’ and ‘hates to stand at bars type.’ Fun video for a Saturday morning. Check it out below along with the parody lyrics:

By now, I’m sure you’ve probably seen folks taking part in the Dolly Parton challenge where you post four photos of yourself. The idea is to include one appropriate for four social apps: Linkedin, Facebook, Instagram and Tinder. Dolly began the craze by posting her own on Facebook with the caption, “Get you a woman who can do it all!” For business networking site LinkedIn, Dolly went with a buttoned-up school teacher pic. For family-friendly Facebook, it’s Christmas sweater Dolly. For style-driven Instagram, country Dolly posing in bell-bottom jeans with a guitar in hand. And for the dating app Tinder, Dolly featured her Playboy bunny pic. So, Grammy Award-winning rapper Eminem just posted his version on Twitter asking, “Did I do this right?”
The 47-year-old used a tasteful ‘shirt & tie’ pic for the Linkedin pic; for Facebook he featured a brooding, bearded photo; the Instagram image shows him dressed as Santa behind (?) a wooden reindeer; and for the final photo, he posed naked with a stick of dynamite covering his crotch but instead of ‘Tinder’ he used the name of the gay dating app Grindr. Now, you have to wonder: is he playing at something here? Did he get it wrong? Did he think ‘playing gay’ would be more humorous? Being provocative is old hat for Eminem. His latest album, Music to Be Murdered By, definitely leans on some shock value. In one track (“Darkness”), he raps from the perspective of the Las Vegas gunman who committed the largest mass shooting in the U.S. in 2017. In “Unaccommodating,” he tosses off a line about the bombing at an Ariana Grande concert in 2017. (image via Twitter/Eminem)
Randy Rainbow drops his first political parody of 2020 utilizing the boastful “Gaston” from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. “That Don!” is a sizzling satirical take on the third American president ever to be impeached. As usual, Rainbow’s tweak of the lyrics is razor-sharp. Click here for past posts of the fab Randy Rainbow.
Gwyneth Paltrow made headlines this week when it was discovered the actress had not only begun selling a scented candle on her Goop store called “This Smells Like My Vagina,” but the item quickly sold out. According to the original product description (since deleted), Paltrow and a designer were working on the scent when she suddenly blurted out, “’Uhhh..this smells like a vagina” — but evolved into a funny, gorgeous, sexy, and beautifully unexpected scent. (That turned out to be perfect as a candle).” The current description on Goop explains the Oscar winner’s vulva candle smells like “geranium, citrusy bergamot, and cedar absolutes juxtaposed with Damask rose and ambrette seed to put us in mind of fantasy, seduction, and a sophisticated warmth.” So, I’m guessing that’s what I’ve missed out on all these years. Domestic goddess Martha Stewart was asked during a recent appearance on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live what she thought of Paltrow’s business savvy thanks to the candle selling out immediately. “I’m sure it sold out,” said Stewart. “She’s trying to zhuzh up the public and that’s great. I wouldn’t buy it.” When Cohen delved further inquiring what it ‘says’ about America that the candle sold out so quickly, Stewart was quick to the heart of the issue: “I don’t think it’s America, I think it’s a lot of horny guys.”
For #ThrowBackThursday: In 2014, Ripple the mastiff was a big hit making a guest appearance (courtesy of the Edmonton Humane Society) during weatherman Mike Sobel’s forecast. Sobel tried to handle both his weatherman duties AND Ripple at the same time. Telling Ripple to “sit” had no effect as the handsome 18-month-old dog kept gnawing at his leash. Watch to see how it ends. p.s. Ripple was adopted the very next day 🙂
SNL alum Cheri Oteri as ‘Barbrsa Walters’ on NYE While it was fun to see SNL alum Cheri Oteri revive to her ‘Barbara Walters’ persona for New Year’s Eve, it was even more hysterical watching Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper laugh uncontrollably during the clip.

‘Dancing with the Stars’ champ Nyle DiMarco (image via Instagram) Just in time for Christmas, Dancing with the Stars and America’s Next Top Model champ Nyle DiMarco saw his 2019 hit its peak when a favorite celeb chimed in on his Twitter. As a member of the Deaf Community, the dashing DiMarco is a big advocate for American Sign Language (ASL). It’s estimated that there are 70 million Deaf people in the world, but only two percent have access to education in sign language leaving millions without the education they need.
I want to better 70 million Deaf lives worldwide. Please RT to spread awareness, thank you. pic.twitter.com/xQC0vpGaGY
DiMarco often shares some phrases of ASL with his Twitter followers to encourage more people to learn the visual language. Two days ago, he began a thread showing folks how to sign the title of Mariah Carey’s blockbuster holiday hit, “All I Want For Christmas Is You.” The ASL challenge was Nyle’s way of celebrating Mariah’s newly-anointed 19th No. 1 single for its 25th anniversary this holiday season. And he asked folks to video themselves signing the phrase and post it on the thread.
ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YOU: A CHALLENGE. Post a video of you signing that! pic.twitter.com/uJPCyDmcYz
