Life in the Twitters. Gus Kenworthy commented on a video posted on Twitter by YouTube star Tyler Oakley where a hot guy in the subway riffed on the current “Finish the lyric…” trend. Said Kenworthy, “‘Oh damn he cute’ and then I realized that I’ve hooked up with him and if that is not gay culture I don’t know what is…” #gaylife

By now, I’m sure you’ve probably seen folks taking part in the Dolly Parton challenge where you post four photos of yourself. The idea is to include one appropriate for four social apps: Linkedin, Facebook, Instagram and Tinder. Dolly began the craze by posting her own on Facebook with the caption, “Get you a woman who can do it all!”
For business networking site LinkedIn, Dolly went with a buttoned-up school teacher pic. For family-friendly Facebook, it’s Christmas sweater Dolly. For style-driven Instagram, country Dolly posing in bell-bottom jeans with a guitar in hand. And for the dating app Tinder, Dolly featured her Playboy bunny pic. So, Grammy Award-winning rapper Eminem just posted his version on Twitter asking, “Did I do this right?”

Randy Rainbow drops his first political parody of 2020 utilizing the boastful “Gaston” from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. “That Don!” is a sizzling satirical take on the third American president ever to be impeached. As usual, Rainbow’s tweak of the lyrics is razor-sharp. Click here for past posts of the fab Randy Rainbow.
Gwyneth Paltrow made headlines this week when it was discovered the actress had not only begun selling a scented candle on her Goop store called “This Smells Like My Vagina,” but the item quickly sold out. According to the original product description (since deleted), Paltrow and a designer were working on the scent when she suddenly blurted out, “’Uhhh..this smells like a vagina” — but evolved into a funny, gorgeous, sexy, and beautifully unexpected scent. (That turned out to be perfect as a candle).” The current description on Goop explains the Oscar winner’s vulva candle smells like “geranium, citrusy bergamot, and cedar absolutes juxtaposed with Damask rose and ambrette seed to put us in mind of fantasy, seduction, and a sophisticated warmth.” So, I’m guessing that’s what I’ve missed out on all these years. Domestic goddess Martha Stewart was asked during a recent appearance on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live what she thought of Paltrow’s business savvy thanks to the candle selling out immediately. “I’m sure it sold out,” said Stewart. “She’s trying to zhuzh up the public and that’s great. I wouldn’t buy it.” When Cohen delved further inquiring what it ‘says’ about America that the candle sold out so quickly, Stewart was quick to the heart of the issue: “I don’t think it’s America, I think it’s a lot of horny guys.”
For #ThrowBackThursday: In 2014, Ripple the mastiff was a big hit making a guest appearance (courtesy of the Edmonton Humane Society) during weatherman Mike Sobel’s forecast. Sobel tried to handle both his weatherman duties AND Ripple at the same time. Telling Ripple to “sit” had no effect as the handsome 18-month-old dog kept gnawing at his leash. Watch to see how it ends. p.s. Ripple was adopted the very next day 🙂
