Some news items you might have missed: • The Advocate: Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth (above) attacked trans military service members in a speech to a gathering of special forces operators on Tuesday, vowing, “No more dudes in dresses, we’re done with that s**t.” • OUT: In a candid interview with The Pivot podcast, out NFL player Carl Nassib reveals how losing his gay uncle empowered him to come out as gay in 2021. • Newsweek: The Trump administration is demanding government and business offices in Stockholm, Sweden, drop DEI policies in order for contractors to deal with the American embassy. An official for Stockholm called the requirement “completely bizarre,” adding, “We will never sign this contract.” • Boy Culture: Check out the trailer for Davis Guggenheim and out deaf activist Nyle DiMarco’s Deaf President Now!, a film about the 1988 struggle for Gallaudet University — a Deaf school — to elect a Deaf president. • CNBC: The Federal Reserve left interest rates unchanged for the third consecutive meeting today as it warned about the economic fallout from tariffs. I expect a Truth Social post from the Donald with a lot of capital letters any minute now.
