A 13-year-old transgender teen in Texas was pulled out of his classroom and interrogated by Department of Family and Protective Services investigators thanks to orders from Gov. Greg Abbott (R) who believes providing trans kids with gender-affirming care is “child abuse.”

From the Washington Post:

The nearly hour-long interview touched on a range of personal topics — from the teen’s medical history to his gender dysphoria diagnosis to his suicide attempt years back, court records state.

A report of the interrogation is part of a lawsuit filed by Lambda Legal, the ACLU and other LGBTQ advocates seeking to block investigations into families providing gender-affirming care to their transgender children.
