Check out the trailer for the upcoming LGBTQ-themed drama, My Policeman, starring pop star Harry Styles, The Crown’s Emma Corrin and David Dawson (Peaky Blinders).
My Policeman chronicles the story of three young people beginning in the 1950s as a young Tom (Styles) falls in love with both Marion (Corrin) and Patrick (Dawson). The three privately agree to an “arrangement” as queer relationships were against the law at the time.
The film then jumps forward 40 years, as Tom (Linus Roache), Patrick (Rupert Everett), and Marion (Gina McKee) are reunited. Reeling with regret and longing, they find they have one last chance to repair the damage of the past.
Based on the book by Bethan Roberts, director Michael Grandage creates a compelling and tender exploration of three people caught up in turbulent waters amidst love, turmoil, and forgiveness.
The film marks the first queer role for Styles, a longtime LGBTQ ally.
Last month, the cast of My Policeman won the Toronto International Film Festival’s 2022 Tribute Award for Performance.
My Policeman premieres in theaters on October 21 and Prime Video on November 4. Watch the trailer below.
