Some news items I thought worth your time:
• TMZ: Former pro wrestler and MAGA enthusiast Hulk Hogan is dead at 71. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame but was removed in 2015 after a scandal erupted over racist comments while he was recorded during a sexual encounter. During the 2024 presidential campaign he threatened to “body slam” then-Vice President Kamala Harris.
• Kenneth-in-the-212: Check out this week’s round-up of LGBTQ publications including the latest from DNA Magazine featuring my buddy James Franklin’s photos of Johnie Bravo.
• The Advocate: Truth-challenged serial-liar former Rep. George Santos (R-NY) has to report to prison tomorrow for wire fraud, identity theft, money laundering, and theft of public funds. And he’s not taking it well.
• Gay Times: Paul Mescal and Josh O’Connor’s highly-anticipated gay romance – The History of Sound – has dropped its first trailer.
Mescal is best-known for his universally acclaimed performance in All of Us Strangers (2023), while O’Connor memorably played a closeted sheep farmer in God’s Own Country (2017).
• The Hill: An Army spokesman has confirmed Donald Trump’s poorly attended military parade cost approximately $30 million.
• Rolling Stone: Less than a day after the creators of Comedy Central’s South Park reached a reportedly $1.5 billion deal with Paramount+, the animated series kicked off its 27th season with an episode depicting Donald Trump with a micro-penis and in bed with Satan.
