• Netflix: The streaming platform drops the official trailer for “BOOTS,” which follows closeted gay teen Cameron, who enters the macho world of military boot camp. Premieres October 9.
• The Advocate: The Tampa Pride Board announced it won’t hold its Tampa Pride Festival, Diversity Parade, or any associated events in 2026 citing Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ war on diversity, equity and inclusion.
• OUT: Grammy winner Miley Cyrus called on Fleetwood Mac stars Lindsey Buckingham & Mick Fleetwood to collaborate on her new single, “Secrets,” penned as “a peace offering for someone I had lost for a time but always loved” – her dad.
• LGBTQ Nation: Beloved out actor and author George Takei will help spread awareness on book bans and censorship by serving as the honorary chair for The American Library Association’s (ALA) Banned Books Week.
• GLAAD: Submissions are now open for the 37th Annual GLAAD Media Awards. The annual awards honor fair, accurate, and inclusive representations of LGBTQ people across television, film, music, journalism, and more.
• The Bulwark: In an appearance on Fox News, Border Czar Tom Homan was asked about allegations he accepted $50K in a deal where he would award government contracts in the new Trump administration. Instead of saying he didn’t take the money, he responds, “I did nothing criminal…”
Ingraham: “They said that you took $50,000 in cash in a bag from an undercover FBI agent to help them win government contracts in Trump’s second term…I imagine you want to respond to that.”
