Netflix Cancels ‘BOOTS’ After One Season

Bad news – Netflix has cancelled its critically-acclaimed military-centered dramedy, BOOTS. after just one season.

The series, which followed a closeted teen who enrolled with his best buddy in the Marine Corps in 1990, was based on a memoir — The Pink Marine — by real-life veteran Greg Cope White. Miles Heizer played the lead role of “Cameron Cope.”

BOOTS premiered on Netflix at the start of October and quickly rose to #2 on the weekly Netflix rankings and stayed in the top ten for a month. The show currently enjoys a 90% critics rating and 90% audience reaction on Rotten Tomatoes. Continue reading “Netflix Cancels ‘BOOTS’ After One Season”
