From WPBF:
The suspect put a video on the Omegle chat platform where he was wielding a gun on a according to police.
He claimed to be a Palm Beach County resident in the video. The suspect was in Canada and not in West Palm Beach, police said.
Police said the video included chilling detail, making anti-LGBTQ comments and even mentioned which block he was going to commit a mass shooting on that day at the event.
“I can say through his statement that there’s no remorse,” Deputy Chief Rick Morris said during the press conference.
With vivid memories of the Pulse Nightclub shooting in Orlando in mind, West Palm Beach Police ramped up security at the Pride events with extra patrols, undercover officers, and SWAT team members.
Police say the teen will be transferred to West Palm Beach to face charges. They said they recovered the gun seen in the video as well.
