I’m gonna admit, I don’t see the “viral video-esqueness” of this. A bit obvious.
But – almost half a million views…

YouTube vloggers The Rhodes Brothers have a viral video on their hands as they come out to their dad (both of them) during a phone call.
Best part of the call is the dad’s most perfect response to the news. “It’s the way things are, you know?” he says. “You’re grown people. You grew up in a lot different generation than me. I just don’t really know what to say — you know I love you both and that’ll never change.”
The divine Tony and Grammy Award-winner Heather Headley shared this #TBT yesterday from her year in London in 2013 starring in the stage musical adaptation of the Whitney Houston hit film “The Bodyguard.”
(Headley received stellar reviews while the show, unfortunately, did not.)
One day, Headley’s son came to visit rehearsals, and someone shot this video while Headley rehearsed “One Moment In Time.” The juxtaposition of the inspiring lyrics and soaring melody, initially written for the Olympics, as Headley holds her son’s hand having a truly beautiful “moment in time” is truly touching.

From the Monastero twins who gave us this viral coming out video.
I think I’ve heard every single line here.
“How do you know what goes where?”
“So, bro, would you ever sleep with a girl if there’s no gay guys there?”
“You know any girls that are available right now?”
Funny.
Disneyworld’s “Gaston” makes news again with another viral video.
An eleven year-old throws down an arm wrestling challenge to “Gaston.”
This is “Gaston’s” second viral video in less than a week. This guy is pretty fabulous. Great personality.
C.J. Huffman shares a conversation he had with his furry friend about “poor choices” made.
Over 800,000 views on YouTube.
The collie mix couldn’t be cuter.
Dogs rule.
This video, apparently from the “COGIC 107th Holy Convocation” (whatever that is), went viral today all over Facebook.
A 21 year old in Missouri is cleansed of his “gayness” by the Holy Spirit. According the goings-on in the video, at least.
“I am not gay no more! I am delivered! I don’t like mens no more! I said I like women! Women, women, women, women, women, blub, blub, blub! I said women! I’m not gay! I would not date a man! I would not carry a purse! I would not put on makeup! I will, I will love a woman!”
And then the reverend who oversees the whole shebang hands him a $100 bill…
I’ve been seeing posts about this video for over a week, but every time I went to watch, the server would stall.
1.8 million views later, I see what the chatter was about. I think this is pretty fab.
Back in 2012, singer-songwriter Rob Cantor wrote a song called “Shia LaBeouf” about the titular character as a cannibal, with lines like, “Hollywood superstar… living in the woods/killing for sport.” In the new video, the West Los Angeles Children’s Choir and Gay Men’s Chorus team for a rousing interpretation of the song, complete with very literal onstage interpretations of the lyrics.
And even better, check the cameo at the very end of the clip.
Wow. Just Wow.
Apparently, the man taking the video almost hit the woman changing lanes while driving. Ok, so be more aware. I know we’ve all done the same thing at some point in our lives. I’m guessing he stopped to apologize to the woman.
And then, this.
This lady goes on and on and on… And the bile gets more and more bitter as she goes.
Great cover of Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car” by one of my current music obsessions, Jeb Havens.
Jeb sings with a great edge and clarity in his vocals; and he has an honest, open connection to what he’s singing about.
Notice his eye contact with the camera – not afraid to stay connected to his audience. And his transitions from one lyric to the next make sense as a storyteller. Very in the moment without being over the top or heavy-handed.
This video comes from his series of “Closet Covers” shot literally in his closet. I imagine the clothes help dampen outside noises for recording purposes, but it also seems personal and intimate being in his closet with him.
Oh – and he’s pretty easy on the eyes, too. I noticed that 🙂
