Totally-not-gay, former U.S. Rep. Aaron Schock received the best news he’s heard in a long time today.

The Chicago Tribune reports that, in a surprise move, federal prosecutors announced in court Wednesday that they will drop all charges against the former congressman if Schock pays back the money he owes to his campaign fund and the Internal Revenue Service.

U.S. District Judge Matthew Kennelly approved the surprise agreement which includes Schock repaying $68,000 to his congressional campaign fund and $42,000 to the IRS in exchange for dropping all felony charges against him.

The agreement also calls for Schock’s campaign committee, Schock for Congress, to plead guilty to a misdemeanor count of failing to properly report expenses.

According to the Tribune, prosecutors decided the deal would be a “fair and just” outcome in light of the fact that Schock had no prior criminal record and had resigned from Congress in 2015.

You may recall Schock’s troubles began in February 2015, when Washington Post reporter Ben Terris made note of a lavish remodel of Schock’s Washington office based on the hit UK series, Downton Abbey, during an office visit.

At the time, the then-33-year-old Republican was also battling persistent rumors of being closeted while his congressional voting record was decidedly anti-LGBT. The Human Rights Campaign gave him a 0% rating. During his time in Congress he voted against the repeal of ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,’ the Matthew Shepard Act and more.

In March 2015, super-smart guy Matt Baume did this quick video report on Schock:

Investigations followed which led to a 24-count indictment against the congressman which included filing false reports with federal election officials, wire fraud, mail fraud, making false statements and more.

Among the allegations were that he had billed the federal government and his campaign for driving his personal car 170,000 miles  between January 2010 and July 2014. But when the young lawmaker sold the vehicle there were only 80,000 miles on the odometer.

The Downton Abbey-inspired remodel of his Washington office reportedly cost an estimated $40,000 from his official office budget, which Schock eventually repaid.

Politico reported that he allegedly spent “more than $90,000 in campaign dollars on private air charters, an unusually high sum for a rank-and-file member of the House,” in addition to lavish hotels in San Francisco, Miami, London and Las Vegas.

He also apparently used taxpayer money to fly from Peoria to Chicago in November 2014.

When asked in March of 2015 if he thought he’d broken any regulations or congressional rules, he replied, “Well, I certainly hope not,” adding, “I’m not an attorney.”

His Instagram account caught the attention of the LGBT media for his workout regimen and sartorial choices that seemed to ping folks’ gaydar.

While relieved that his legal tribulations have come to a close, Schock complained in a statement Wednesday that it took so long to resolve the indictments.

“It should not have taken four years, two U.S. attorney offices, three judges and millions of dollars in costs to the taxpayers and myself to come to this conclusion,” said Schock.

“I have stated consistently and constantly that mistakes were made in the handling of my campaign and congressional offices, and I have acknowledged responsibility for that — but mistakes are not crimes.”

For a time, Schock had locked his Instagram account, but appears he’s open to sharing again.

It seems he’s been spending his time taking in concerts by Elton John and Sam Smith, as well as keeping up the work at the gym.

Aaron “Totally Not Gay” Schock Indicted On 24 Counts Of Fraud & Theft

Former Congressman Aaron Schock has been indicted on 24 counts of fraud and theft in regard to misuse of his campaign fund and more than $1 million annual office fund.

The 35 year old Republican, who has been rumored to be a closet gay for several years, developed a reputation for flaunting not only his high-end expenditures but his well-known six-pack abs via social media.

And along the way, he attracted the attention of investigators. As such, Schock now has a November 21st court date where he’ll face 24 charges against him including fraud, theft of government funds, false statements and filing false income tax returns.

From Politico:

Schock claimed – and was paid – for “fraudulent claims for mileage reimbursements” totaling $138,663, a phenomenon first uncovered by POLITICO, according to the indictment. He charged the government and his campaign committees for “approximately 150,000 miles more than the vehicles for which he sought reimbursement were actually driven,” the indictment reads, echoing stories from 2015 in POLITICO.

In perhaps the most stunning charge, the Justice Department said Schock invited his constituents to come to Washington for a “fly in” event, and charged them a fee to cover the cost of the events. But, according to the indictment, Schock secretly asked a friend to open a bank account in Florida under the name “Global Travel International,” where Schock deposited the funds. In June 2011, he paid himself nearly $4,500 in excess fees out of the account, and closed it three years later.

Among the other charges:

• Schock charged a limited liability company he started for $11,000 for “services rendered,” and had the money sent to his residence in Illinois, prosecutors say.

• In August 2013, Schock used American Express points to book a vacation to Europe from Washington Dulles Airport. When his connecting flight from Peoria was delayed, he chartered an airplane for more than $8,000, and charged his campaign account for the cost, according to the indictment.

• In 2014, he went to a Chicago Bears game, and improperly charged the government for a private flight, his pilot’s meals and Uber expenses, and charged his campaign for hotel charges and meals, DOJ alleges.

• Schock used his campaign account to buy tickets to pricey events like the World Series and Super Bowl, then pocketed the profits when he sold the tickets to brokers. In 2014, the indictment says, he purchased four Super Bowl tickets for more than $10,000 with funds from a campaign account, and kept the $1,975 in profits from the sale. The next year, he bought four tickets to the Super Bowl with campaign money and sold them for a nearly $8,000 profit, never reimbursing the campaign account. Prosecutors allege that Schock walked away from that transaction with an $18,000 profit.

• Schock falsified expenses to cover a $1,134-per-month car payment, varying the entries to avoid suspicion, prosecutors say. He paid for camera equipment with his own credit card, then charged the government for “multimedia services,” the indictment says.

Totally-Not-Gay Michael Hoffman Posts New Naked Video For All The Folks He “Screwed Over”

'Totally not gay' amateur bodybuilder Michael Hoffman returns with a new naked video

Totally not gay amateur bodybuilder Michael Hoffman got a case of the sadz over the July 4th weekend and decided he was sorry he had “screwed a lot of people over.”

So to make good he posted another of his “totally not gay” naked videos.

I just find this guy kind of fascinating (from a distance). I’ve previously posted about Hoffman and his interesting videos here.

Here’s his note. And the video can be found here.

Warning: Totally NSFW – naked stuff going on.

Fuuuccckkk!

Hey everyone, it’s Michael.

It’s been quite a while since I made a video. It’s currently July 2nd, 2015. Hope you guys enjoy this video, it’s gonna be a good 4th of July present for you guys.

Anyway, I just wanted to keep you guys updated on what’s been going on.

I’ve been doing okay. I feel bad for a lot of people. Uhm. I screwed a lot of people over, and, it was not right of me at all. I’ve been going through a really really rough time with my family, but that’s no excuse to fuck the people over that I did, and uhh, if I owe you a video, this is your video for free. So, other than that, uuuh, hope you guys enjoy this video. And I think you really gonna like it. So. uhhm, anyway, let’s get started.

Alright. I’m gonna do a lot of stuff that people requested me to do, and uhh, I think you really, I think you guys…like I said you really really enjoy it.

Quote Of The Day: Dr. Richard Schock

Soon to be former Congressman Aaron Schock

“What this is really about is that Aaron has been very successful. Aaron is a very hard worker. Aaron is very popular. Aaron is a little different. He wears stylish clothing, and yet he’s not gay…And he’s not married, and he’s not running around with women.

“So, everybody’s throwing up their arms; they can’t figure out Aaron. So, he must crooked, so attack him, bring him down, because he’s doesn’t fit into our picture. He hasn’t done anything to hurt people.”

“Two years from now he’ll be successful…  if he’s not in jail.

“If they’re going to convict him on paperwork, then they’re going to convict him. That’s their privilege. They’re out to get him and they’re making issues out of things that really shouldn’t be issues.”

– Dr. Richard Schock, father of Congressman Aaron Schock, who announced his resignation from office Tuesday amid numerous possible ethics violations, speaking to the press about his son who is popular, a little different, likes cool clothes, built a house with a “friend” who’s about the same age, doesn’t run around with women and TOTALLY not gay.

Rachel Maddow Profiles The Rise And Fall Of Rep. Aaron Schock

Rachel Maddow goes in-depth on the resignation of Illinois Congressman Aaron Schock.

One of the more interesting things about Schock’s time in Congress seems to be that while he was one of the youngest members of Congress, it appears he didn’t actually DO much of substance while on the Hill. He’s been described, more than once, as a “show horse” rather than a “work horse.”

I also recommend the reporting today from the Washington Post on Schock’s early successes that had hints of the scandals that seemed to bring him down today.

“Totally Not Gay” Michael Hoffman Rants Over X-Rated Videos

Naked bodybuilder Michael Hoffman goes on a rant about the illegal use of his likeness across the internet

“Totally not gay” Michael Hoffman took to his YouTube channel to vent about a lot of things, one of those being how his solo sex videos are being seen across the internet.

You know – those videos that he made and sold?

I keep coming back to this story because I’m fascinated by his victim-hood and how he sees his own story.

No nudity here, just a rambling rant.

Totally “Not Gay” Body Builder Michael Hoffman Is Back With A New Video

Totally not gay but very naked Michael Hoffman delivers a new solo sex video

Totally “not-gay” bodybuilder Michael Hoffman is back!

As I’ve reported before (here), Hoffman is a bodybuilder and “personal trainer” who has released several X-rated solo videos. Clearly intended for a gay audience, he then denied that he’s gay and that he only did the videos for he money.

Well, the hits just keep coming.

Today another video hit the interwebs. I won’t post it here as it’s not appropriate for The Randy Report, but you can view the 10 minute flexing (and more) flick here – warning NSFW.

From searches that lead to The Randy Report, I can see there’s a huge audience for this. While he’s an attractive guy, solo flexing/sex vids not really my thing. But I do think the story as a whole is fascinating.

I’m not offended by the idea of admiring a hunky, hot naked guy. But it is interesting that he maintains he’s not gay.

Whatever. Happy Monday!

It’s Friday! Time For One More Aaron Schock Debacle

Blue Nation Review reports on Illinois Congressman Aaron Schock’s sale of his home to a political donor for much more than the home was estimated to be worth.

Ruh-roh.

The month before the 2012 elections, Congressman Schock sold his house to a major Republican donor who was also one of his campaign supporters for a price that appears to far exceed the market value at the time.

Ali Bahaj – then a Vice President at Caterpillar – and his wife Gloria have donated more than $45,000 over the last decade to the Caterpillar PAC and various Republican officeholders – including Congressman Schock.

In fact, Federal Election Commission records show that Mr. and Mrs. Bahaj each made the maximum allowable donation to Aaron Schock’s campaign in 2008.

Congressman Schock on October 16, 2012 sold his home to the Bahajs for $925,000.

Zillow estimates that the house was worth approximately $695,000 that month. It’s possible Congressman Schock just got incredibly lucky finding the right buyer to throw him a life raft as homeowners around him were drowning.

But it begs the question: Was this transaction more than just luck?

Blue Nation Review found several nearby comparable homes that never got near that price range.

Well, things happen. I can attest that I got lucky when I sold my home in LA in 2004. I sold near the very top of the market then. Of course, I didn’t happen to sell to a political donor of mine. (p.s. I don’t have any political donors…)

According to Zillow, Schock sold his home at just about the rock bottom of the Peoria real estate market:

If Schock had sold to a stranger for a higher than average price, it might have been one thing. But, it seems that Congressman Schock sold his home at what appears to be an inflated price to a political donor.

First, “OfficeGate.”

Then, racist top aide calls African-Americans zoo animals.

Now, this.

Happy Friday, Aaron Schock. I’ll bet no one wanted to end the week more than you.

Good thing you’ve got your health.

Totally not gay Rep. Aaron Schock of Illinois

Congressman Aaron Schock Has A Secret Only His Interior Decorator Knows

Congressman Aaron Schock is totally not gay
Rep. Aaron Schock

So, totally not gay Republican Congressman Aaron Schock of Illinois recently redecorated his office in Washington, D.C.

A new Congress, a new look. What could that hurt?

As the story goes, a woman named Annie Brahler, of the decorating firm Euro Trash, offered her services free of charge to the handsome, young congressman, although he did have to personally pay for any items she picked out on his behalf.

Well, Washington Post reporter Ben Terris stopped by the offices of Mr. Schock and was greeted by what was described by staff as inspired by the PBS hit series Downton Abbey. The decorator, Ms. Annie Brahler, even offered a tour of the redux.

As Brahler and Terris walked around, though, Schock’s communications director Benjamin Cole got involved with a somewhat abrupt request to cease, desist and delete all pics of the office redo, and offering an interview on any subject with the congressman as long as it wasn’t about the office decor.

“He’s happy to talk to you, just not about the office,” Cole reportedly told Terris. “I’m really sorry and want you to know this is not fun for me.”

Now why, many wonder, would a PR guy get so nervous about an office decor change?

Eyebrows seem to be raised because of persistent rumors that the 33 year old congressman is actually gay and closeted, with a voting record that is not LGBT friendly at all.
