Congressional Candidate Dan Bongino’s Epic Curse-Laden Tirade Against Reporter

Politico reporter Marc Caputo was following a story via Twitter where Congressional candidate and former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino had attacked the Naples Daily News for what he called “propaganda” in a story the paper had published about him.

Caputo atempted to clarify, via Twitter, exactly what Bongino felt was “propaganda” in the article.

From Politico:

The newspaper had reported Sunday that Bongino was “lacking” financial backing from the district, noting that only 6 percent of itemized donations came from Collier and Lee counties. Citing Federal Election Commission records, it also reported that he raised “a disproportionate amount of his money from donations of less than $200.”

Bongino asked Caputo to call him and, after a long back and forth of exchanges on Twitter, he gave his telephone number after being told the conversation would be recorded. Bongino later hung up after losing his temper and shouting “shut the fuck up! … Go fuck yourself, you piece of shit!”

The full, recorded conversation is below. While the 17 minute length might seem long for casual web surfing, I found it highly enlightening that a candidate for Congress would act out in this manner speaking to the press, especially when Caputo had expressly communicated that he was going to be recording the conversation.

Some of Bongino’s comments are captured for closed-captioning. I’ve included a few screen captures of the actual recording.

Greta Van Susteren: Put Harriet Tubman On The $25 Bill

Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren closed her show last night with an off-pitch rant regarding the news that ‘Underground Railroad’ hero, Harriet Tubman, will be replacing slave-owner President Andrew Jackson on the $20 bill.

Van Susteren said the Obama administration “went stupid” and was dividing the country with a “completely unnecessary fight,” closing with this:

“Give Tubman her own bill. Like a $25 bill. We could use a $25 bill. Put her picture on that and we could all celebrate. That’s the smart and easy thing to do. But no, some people don’t think and would gratuitously stir up conflict in the nation. That is so awful, and yes, dumb.”

“Jalapeno Mac & Cheese” Brat Charged After Drunken Rant

Talk about a serving of justice served cold.

From Huffington Post:

Luke Gatti, 19, of Bayville, New York, was charged with breach of peace and criminal trespass, the Hartford Courant reported.

In a viral YouTube video of the incident, titled “Drunk Kid Wants Mac And Cheese,” Gatti can be seen telling the manager of Union Street Market, “Just give me some f–king bacon, jalepeno mac and cheese” and verbally abusing him. The manager tells the student, “You can’t come in here with an open bottle of booze, dude. Think about it!”

Kevin Swanson’s Epic Rant At The “Death To Gays” Conference In Iowa

Kevin Swanson

Over the weekend, Kevin Swanson hosted Ted Cruz, Mike Huckabee, and Bobby Jindal at the National Religious Liberties Conference in Des Moines, Iowa.

While Swanson has made some pretty insane remarks in the past, this speech verges on performance art. To call this a ‘meltdown’ would be polite.

Check this speech Swanson gave at the conference after interviewing Huckabee and Jindal.

Swanson screams:

“There are families, we’re talking Christian families, pastors’ families, elders’ families from good, godly churches, whose sons are rebelling, hanging out with homosexuals and getting married and the parents are invited. What would you do if that was the case? Here is what I would do: sackcloth and ashes at the entrance to the church and I’d sit in cow manure and I’d spread it all over my body. That is what I would do and I’m not kidding, I’m not laughing….I’m grieving, I’m mourning, I’m pointing out the problem.

“It’s not a gay time! These are the people with the sores! The gaping sores! The sores that are pussey and gross, and people are coming in and carving happy faces on the sores! That’s not a nice thing to do! Don’t you DARE carve happy faces on open pussey sores! Don’t you ever do that! Don’t you ever do that!

“I tell you don’t do it. Sack cloth and ashes. This is what America needs. America needs to hear the message. We are messed up.

Swanson has often underlined his stone-cold belief that the Old and New Testaments call for the death penalty for gays and lesbians. Not as a metaphor, but literally the execution of folks like me.

And what’s really frightening is Ted Cruz, Bobby Jindal and Mike Huckabee were proud to speak at this man’s event.

Donald Trump Picks A Fight On CNN Over Network’s “Incompetent” Coverage

Donald Trump, speaking with CNN’s Chris Cuomo this morning, had a virtual meltdown over his media coverage as he sees his poll numbers dropping to number two as Dr. Ben Carson’s numbers rise.

From The Hill:

Moments into his more than 20-minute interview on CNN’s “New Day,” Trump offered a broadside against a CNN reporter who covered his book signing in New York the previous day.

“Sara Murray didn’t report it very well because she never flips the camera to show the lines. I think she’s absolutely terrible, your reporter,” Trump told host Chris Cuomo.

“Either she’s a very unemotional person or she’s not a very good reporter,” Trump continued, adding later, “Maybe she’s a low-key individual and doesn’t believe in showing the crowds.”

“I don’t know if that’s because she is incompetent, or she doesn’t like me or maybe she’s given instructions from up above. Who knows. I don’t really care,” Trump said.

Donald Trump Goes Off On Fox News – AGAIN

White House wanna-be Donald Trump took to Twitter to complain about what he felt was unfair treatment on that liberal bastion of political news, The O’Reilly Factor.

Bill O’Reilly, appearing on The Today Show this morning told Matt Lauer, “I’ve known Trump a long time. He wants people to like him. When people criticize him, he takes it personally.”

“That’s like the worst thing you can give Donald Trump is this tweeting thing,” he said. “I just think this is an extension of his reality show, The Apprentice. This is just theater right now.”

Church Denounces Pastor Dewey Smith’s Sermon Regarding Same-Sex Marriage

According to Christian Post, last the viral video of Pastor E. Dewey Smith vigorously denouncing those who would judge LGBTs over same-sex marriage was never meant to imply the church nor the pastor supports same-sex marriage.

That clip was posted without our knowledge by someone who was in attendance and gives absolutely no context concerning the overall message.

Since that time enumerable media outlets have posted the clip with captions best suited for their journalistic and editorial priorities.

It’s important to know that the descriptions of the posted sermon clip are not the opinions of E. Dewey Smith Jr.

By no means is Smith now, nor has he ever been a proponent of same-sex marriage. Smith has always believed and taught that marriage is only designed for a man and a woman.

This reality was clearly stated during the sermon but not included for some reason by the person who posted the clip. Smith believes that same-sex marriage isn’t the Will of God.

Many publications have tried to present the message as affirmation of equal rights for the LGBT community. Regardless of how the clip is ‘bent’ that was not the content nor intent of the message.

NYPD Detective Stripped Of Badge And Gun After Angry Rant Captured On Video

NYPD detective Patrick Cherry

Yesterday, I wrote about a New York Police Department detective who went bonkers on an Uber driver who honked his horn while the detective was trying to park his car.

The NYPD has been swift to act after the video of the rant went viral.

Detective Patrick Cherry has been removed from the department’s elite Joint Terrorism Task Force and will be doing desk duty until he is officially transferred out of the prestigious division.

“No good cop should watch that video without a wince,” Commissioner Bill Bratton said at a Wednesday press conference. “Because all good cops know that officer just made their jobs a little bit harder.”

“In that kind of encounter, anger like that is unacceptable,” Bratton continued. “In any encounter, discourtesy and obscene language like that is unacceptable.

“That officer’s behavior reflected poorly on everyone who wears our uniform.”
