Hillary Clinton Leads Donald Trump By 30 Points In New York State

According to Donald Trump, he will be competitive in the general election against Hillary Clinton in their shared home state of New York.

The facts are bearing out a different narrative.

The latest Siena poll shows the former Secretary of State running ahead of Trump 57% vs 27%.

In a four way race, Clinton still holds an impressive 25 point lead.

Electoral Map: If Colorado, Virginia, Pennsylvania & New Hampshire Go Blue

Huffington Post’s Sam Stein posits via Twitter that “If you assume that Colo, Va, Pennsylvania and NH are off the board — as #s suggest — then the election’s over.”

Recent polls show Hillary Clinton ahead in those vital swing states by an average of 11%, 8%, 9% and 8% respectively according to Real Clear Politics.

That takes Clinton to 273, past the winning 270 mark, without electoral vote rich states Florida or Ohio.

It’s notable, however, that Clinton currently leads in those states as well by smaller margins of about 3%. The latest CBS News Battleground Tracker poll puts Clinton up by 5% in Florida.

Super-stats guy Nate Silver currently puts Clinton’s odds of winning the White House at almost 89%.

Hillary Clinton Takes Slim Lead In North Carolina

More evidence Donald Trump’s post-Republican convention rants and tirades continue to dog his presidential campaign.

Democrat Hillary Clinton now has a slim 2 point lead over the Trumpster according to the latest Public Policy Polling survey in North Carolina.

She’s at 43% to 41% for Donald Trump, 7% for Gary Johnson, and 2% for Jill Stein. In a head to head contest just between Clinton and Trump, she leads 47/46. Voters haven’t changed their feelings much about Clinton since our June poll in the state- her favorability rating was 39/55 then and it’s 40/55 now.

But Trump – already unpopular – has become even more so. He’s seen a 7 point decline in his net popularity from -14 at 38/52 down to -21 at 37/58. “Hillary Clinton’s taken a small lead in North Carolina,” said Dean Debnam, President of Public Policy Polling. “That has more to do with Donald Trump than it does with her- every time he opens his mouth he just keeps getting even more and more unpopular than he already was.”

Also from the poll, 69% of Trump supporters say should Clinton win, it will be due to the race being rigged.

Monmouth Poll: Hillary Clinton Leads By 13 Points

The latest poll from Monmouth University echoes what we’ve seen lately in other national polls.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has a 13 point lead with 46% support versus 34% for Republican Donald Trump, 7% for Libertarian Gary Johnson and 2% for Green Party’s Jill Stein.

While Clinton has firmed up her base (92% of Dems say they’ll vote her way), Donald Trump is struggling with only 79% of Republicans.

Trump and Clinton currently split independents 32% and 30% respectively.

CNN “Poll Of Polls” Shows Hillary Clinton +10

CNN’s “Poll of Polls,” which incorporates results from six major political polls conducted after both party conventions, shows former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton with an average of 49% support versus businessman Donald Trump’s 39%.

The same 10 point margin holds when factoring in third party candidates Libertarian Gary Johnson and Green Party’s Jill Stein – 45% / 35% / 9% / 5% respectively.

Polls included: CNN/ORC Poll, the CBS News Poll, the Fox News Poll, the NBC News/Wall Street Journal Poll, the Marist/McClatchy Poll and the ABC News/Washington Post Poll.

ABC News/Washington Post Poll: Hillary Clinton Opens 8 Point Lead Over Trump

Good news for Hillary Clinton in the new ABC News/Washington Post poll which shows the former Secretary of State opening up an 8 point lead (50% vs. 42%) over Republican billionaire Donald Trump.

Clinton’s biggest gains have come from college educated white females where she’s surged from 45% to 57%.

The survey also reveals many of Trump’s negatives with the voting public:

• 79% say Trump doesn’t show enough respect for those he disagrees with

• 70% express anxiety of a Trump presidency

• 67% say Trump lacks the temperament to be president

• 64% have doubts about his understanding of world affairs

• 62% say he’s not honest

• 60% believe he’s biased against women and minorities

The 8 point lead holds even when factoring Libertarian and Green Party candidates Gary Johnson and Jill Stein – 45% / 37% / 8% / 4%.

Trump’s Love Affair With The Polls Is Over

No “Happy Friday” for Donald Trump as two more national polls show Republican Donald Trump continues his precipitous drop in the race against Hillary Clinton.

About the best thing that can be said is the results of one survey indicate the Donald trails Hillary by only 9 points. (Sarcasm intended).

Via Huffington Post:

Clinton leads Trump by 9 points, 47 percent to 38 percent, in a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal survey. While both candidates remain unpopular, the survey finds, Clinton’s image has improved “modestly.” A majority of voters say they have more trust in her to handle a crisis and to deal with foreign policy.

A McClatchy-Marist poll gives Clinton an even wider 15-point lead against Trump, 48 percent to 33 percent. The survey finds Trump ceding ground among traditionally GOP demographics, losing men to Clinton by 8 points and holding just a 2-point edge among white voters.
