Hillary Clinton Up By Double-Digits In Crucial Swing States

Democratic White House hopeful Hillary Clinton gets more good news in the polls from two swing states, Pennsylvania and New Hampshire.

Among likely voters in Pennsylvania, Hillary tops Donald Trump by 11 points 49%/38% according to the latest Franklin and Marshall poll.

Most pundits on both sides of the political spectrum say Trump really needs the Keystone State to win the presidency.

In New Hampshire, the new WBUR poll gives the former Secretary of State a whopping 17 point lead on the Trumpster – 51% to 34%.

Hillary Leads Trump 10 Points In Latest Fox News Poll

Democrat Hillary Clinton has opened up a 10 point lead in the latest Fox News national poll – 49% to Donald Trump’s 39%.

Now, you know if ANY polling firm would “skew right,” it would be these folks. So that makes this even more impressive.

While Trump leads with the male demographic by 5 points, Hillary is polling strong with

• women by 23 points (57-34 percent)

• blacks by 83 (87-4 percent)

• Hispanics by 48 (68-20 percent)

• voters under 30 by 18 (49-31 percent)

With the latest polls factored in, this is super-stats guy Nate Silver’s latest “polls only” prediction for Election Day 2016:

NBC News/MonkeySurvey: Hillary Leads Trump By 8 Points

More good news post-convention for Democrat Hillary Clinton as the latest NBC News/Survey Monkey poll shows the former Secretary of State has jumped to an 8 point lead over Republican Donald Trump.

The online poll showed Clinton topping Trump 50%/42%. Those results indicate a decline of 3 points for the Trumpster since last month.

Hillary Clinton Tops Donald Trump 52%-43% In CNN/ORC Poll

Lots of good news for the Hillary Clinton campaign in the latest CNN/ORC poll which shows the Democratic contender got more bounce out of her convention than Donald Trump did from his.

CNN has the details:

In a two-way head-to-head matchup, Clinton tops Trump 52% to 43%, and in a four-way matchup including third party candidates Gary Johnson and Jill Stein, Clinton leads 45% to 37% with Johnson at 9% and Stein at 5%.

Besides improving her standing against Trump, Clinton’s convention appears to have boosted the share of Americans who think her policies will move the country in the right direction (from 43% before either convention to 48% now), while Trump’s right direction number held roughly steady following the back-to-back political gatherings in Cleveland and Philadelphia.

Further, a majority of Clinton’s backers now say their vote is more to show support for her than to oppose Trump, a sharp shift since early May. Back then, 48% said their vote was one of support for the former secretary of state, 58% say so now. While Trump also improved his numbers on that metric, his voters are more evenly divided, with 47% saying they’re backing him to show support and 50% saying it’s more to oppose Clinton.

Other data:

• 58% of those polled felt the Republicans spent too much time criticizing Democrats, while only 49% felt the Dems focused too much on the Repubilcans.

• 84% feel the Democrats will unite as a party by November, only 66% of Republicans feel their party will stand together.

• Trump actually suffered from his convention – 36% of adults say they are more likely to support Trump after the Cleveland GOP event, but 51% – a net negative of 15 points – are less likely to vote for the Trumpster.

Hillary Clinton Leads Trump 7 Points In Post-Democratic Convention Bounce

According to the newly released CBS News poll taken directly after the close of the 2016 Democratic National Convention, Hillary Clinton has gained a 7 point lead in the presidential race over Republican Donald Trump.

The poll had shown the two tied at 42% each after the prior week in the wake of the Republican Convention, but clearly the DNC was a help to the former Secretary of State.

Additionally, Clinton saw a rise in her favorability numbers jumping 5 points from 31% to 36% viewing Clinton in a favorable light. Here unfavorables dropped 6 points, from 56% to 50%.

The same poll showed 52% of registered voters see Donald Trump unfavorably, and 31% favorably.

Poll: Hillary Leads Trump Nationwide By 6

The latest weekly poll from Reuters shows 41 percent of voters support Hillary Clinton, 35 percent favor Donald Trump, and 25 percent of voters chose “other.”

When you add Libertarian Gary Johnson and Green Party candidate Jill Stein to the mix, Trump and Clinton are tied at 37 percent, with Johnson at 5 percent and Stein at 1 percent.

What I find interesting there is it’s the Libertarian candidate – not the Green Party candidate – pulling the majority of votes from Clinton. Most unhappy Bernie Sanders supporters mention voting for Jill Stein, it seems, when asked who they would support instead of Hillary.

Clinton increased her lead over Trump from last week’s Reuters poll, when she was up by 3 points with 41 percent.

The Clinton/Trump poll was conducted among 1,043 likely voters between July 25 and July 29 and has a credibility interval of 4 percentage points.

The Clinton/Trump/Johnson/Stein survey queried 1,426 likely voters and has a credibility interview of 3 points.

Clinton Takes 15 Point Lead In National Poll

Just one day after the close of the 2016 Democratic National Convention,  RABA Research, a bipartisan polling firm, releases the results of a new poll conducted on July 29th:

Among likely voters, Clinton garners 46% support to Trump’s 31%. Libertarian Gary Johnson now captures 7% of the vote, while Jill Stein sits at 2%.

A RABA Research poll conducted the day after the Republican convention showed a tighter race, with Clinton at 39% and Trump at 34%. Johnson was at 8% in that survey, while Stein found 3% support.

“After closing the gap to single digits last week, Trump’s post-convention bounce has disappeared,” said RABA Research’s John Del Cecato, a Democratic partner with the firm. “While Trump continues to struggle to consolidate support within his own party, Clinton has a sizable lead among independents, and is even peeling off a small slice of Republican voters.”

The online poll was paid for by RABA Research and not by any candidate, committee or outside group. The survey measured 956 voters and was conducted Friday, July 29, 2016.

Poll: Hillary Clinton Acceptance Speech Scores Higher Than Trump’s

So, now that both presidential candidates have accepted their nominations and addressed the country, whose message scored better with voters?

Well, according to polls by CNN immediately after each speech, it looks like the reaction to Democrat Hillary Clinton got a more positive reaction.

A CNN/ORC poll last night showed 71% of those who watched Clinton’s speech felt “very positive” about her address.

CNN’s poll after Republican Donald Trump’s speech last week was 14 points lower – 57% “very positive.”

On the other end of the spectrum, the negatives showed further downside for Trump. While only 12% viewed Clinton’s speech in a “negative” light, Trump’s negative score was double that – 24%.

Additionally, Clinton scored higher than Trump – 82% over 73% – when it came to which candidate’s policies would move the country in the right direction.

New Poll: Clinton Leads Trump In Pennsylvania By 9 Points

A new poll from Suffolk University shows Democrat Hillary Clinton leading GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump by 9 points.

From The Hill:

In a head-to-head matchup, Clinton has 50 percent support and Trump has 41 percent support among likely general-election voters in the battleground state. Another 8 percent are undecided.

In a four-way matchup, including Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson and Green Party candidate Jill Stein, Clinton still holds a 9-point lead over Trump, 46 to 37 percent. Johnson takes 5 percent and Stein takes 3 percent. Another 9 percent are undecided.

In the four-way matchup, Clinton led by 19 points among women, 50 to 31 percent, and Trump leads by 3 points among men, 44 to 41 percent.

Clinton is viewed favorably by 44 percent of respondents and unfavorably by 48 percent. Trump is viewed favorably by only 33 percent of respondents and unfavorably by 57 percent.

The Donald has continually claimed that he will win the traditionally Democratic leaning Pennsylvania. The state hasn’t gone for a Republican president since 1988.

Donald Trump Leads Hillary Clinton +5 In Latest CNN/ORC Poll

Politico reports that Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump got a solid bounce out of his convention:

Donald Trump got a bounce from the Republican National Convention, jumping out in front of Hillary Clinton in a new CNN/ORC International poll released Monday, conducted in the days following the party gathering.

Trump leads Clinton 48 percent to 45 percent in a two-way matchup, compared with the presumptive Democratic nominee’s seven-point advantage (49 percent to 42 percent) in the CNN/ORC poll conducted the previous week.

In a four-way matchup with Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson and Green Party candidate Jill Stein, Trump’s advantage actually increases to 5 points—44 percent to 39 percent, while Johnson earned 9 percent and Stein 3 percent.

The previous four-way survey found Clinton with a five-point lead over Trump, 42 percent to 37 percent, while Johnson had 13 percent and Stein 5 percent.
