Some news items you might have missed:

• Happy, happy birthday to Nyle DiMarco! The DWTS/ANTM champ turns 29 today! The handsome model and actor is currently working as a producer on Broadway repping the revival of the hit play, Children of a Lesser God.

• An 88-year-old grandmother shut down her son’s homophobia in two sentences.

• Madonna served up fashion in a dramatic vein last night at the annual Met Gala where she sang “Like A Prayer,” “Hallelujah” and debuted a new song apparently titled, “Magic.” The theme for the evening was Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.

• Raul Castro’s daughter is making the push for marriage equality in Cuba.

• House Minority Leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi says if there are Democratic House candidates who want to say they won’t support her as House Speaker, she’s fine with it. “I think if they have to do that to win the election, I’m all for it. Just win, baby.”

• Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team has questioned a Russian oligarch about hundreds of thousands of dollars in payments funneled through his company to President Donald Trump’s personal attorney, Michael Cohen, after the election. #RuhRoh #DidHeSayRussia?

• The new interim memorial for the victims and survivors of the Pulse Nightclub shooting was unveiled today in Orlando, Florida. This tribute will remain until a permanent memorial can be built.

Some news items you might have missed:

• Paleontologist Francesc Gascó (above) redefines the old saying, “Walk tall and carry a big… hammer?” Ok, I’m not complaining… 🙂

• Out Olympic bronze medalist Adam Rippon not only attended the TIME 100 Gala in New York City as one of the news magazine’s “100 Most Influential of 2018” but he got to sniff country music star Keith Urban along the way.

• Hottie Simon Dunn trolled anti-LGBT Australian rugby player Israel Follau for saying gays will go to hell by kissing his bf after his own rugby match and then retweeting the pic to Follau. Follau has doubled-down in his hateful comments saying he’d rather end his career than take back what he said.

• Diver Tom Daley, married to Oscar winner Dustin Lance Black, says girls can still turn his head.

• A NYC subway rider found DWTS and ANTM champ Nyle DiMarco so hot she took creeper pics of him. She didn’t know he did the same 🙂

• Parker Matthews dropped his new music video for “Hit and Run” recently. In writing about the video, Pop Dust gushed, “Matthews’ confidence in his sexuality glows onscreen.”

Video: Nyle DiMarco Teaches Curses Words In ASL


 Dancing with the Stars and America’s Next Top Model champ Nyle DiMarco says he gets tons of requests for an ASL tutorial in bad words.

Since I started making tutorial videos I’ve gotten so many requests to do a bad words video. I think curse words are some of the first things a lot of people learn when they are studying a new language. It’s something every language has in common. ASL especially can be more discrete and it’s the first thing hearing people always want to learn! I try not to take myself too seriously and had a lot of fun shooting this.

I met the “sexually fluid” deaf model/actor a couple of years ago when he was the celebrity guest host at Chippendales in Las Vegas. All the dancers and staff at Chipps made a point to learn some ASL to make Nyle as comfortable as possible.

As I understand, the Chipps were very interested in learning new sign language all the time. I’m guessing some of these got taught backstage… 🙂

Nyle DiMarco Books New TV Series “This Close” As He Heads To Broadway

America’s Next Top Model/Dancing with the Stars champ Nyle DiMarco is one busy, busy man.

First of all, the former Chippendales celebrity host has booked a new TV series for the Sundance Channel titled, This Close.

According to reports, this will be Hollywood’s first series from a team of deaf writers, producers, and creators. Stars/co-creators Shoshannah Stern and Josh Feldman are deaf as well.

From Sundance: The six-episode half-hour series explores the relationship between best friends Kate (Stern), who is newly engaged, and Michael (Feldman), who is attempting to move on from his ex-fiancé.

ETonline also announced yesterday that DiMarco will be a producer on the upcoming Broadway revival of the play Children of a Lesser God.

The revival of the 1980 production follows the story of a deaf student and her teacher.

This new adaptation will feature Joshua Jackson and Lauren Ridloff.

The show will start preview performances on March 22 at Studio 54, with opening night on April 11.

Nyle DiMarco Covers Attitude Magazine

Nyle DiMarco, the winner of America’s Next Top Model and Dancing With The Stars as well as former celebrity host for Chippendales, was named “Man of the Year” by Attitude Magazine.

And rightfully so.

Born deaf at birth, the sexually fluid supermodel has spent much of his time in the spotlight raising awareness of American Sign Language and the needs of the deaf community.
