Fired Homophobe Says He’s Returning To Rugby

Will Israel Folau be allowed to return to professional rugby after being fired for homophobic social media posts?

Will Israel Folau be allowed to return to professional rugby after being fired for homophobic social media posts? Rugby player Israel Folau, whose contract was terminated in May for multiple homophobic social media posts, appears to be set to return to the game. CNN reports that the Tonga National Rugby League (TNRL) announced Folau had been cleared to play for the Tonga national team at the upcoming Oceania Cup next month. In a press release, TNRL said both Folau and his 24-year-old brother, John, who already represents Tonga, “have registered to play league through the TNRL and are eligible to play in international rugby league fixtures.” Folau added, “I don’t want to bring any of my personal matters into this and I am grateful that the RLIF have endorsed my availability. What I will do now is focus on playing great rugby league and do my talking on the field.” However, the Oceania Cup is run by the Rugby League International Federation (RLIF) which would have to approve the decision. RLIF has publicly stated they have “not been formally asked to consider the matter.”

Folau was one of Australia’s highest-paid athletes before being sacked for social media posts that declared homosexuals are destined for Hell. Just one of the posts that still remains on his Instagram:

After being accused of breaching the player’s code of conduct, the 30-year-old was dismissed from the Wallabies by Rugby Australia. He’s currently locked in a legal battle with Rugby Australia as he has filed suit seeking AUS$10 million ($7 million US). Folau maintains he was unfairly fired for “practicing his religion.” He attempted to raise AUS$3 million from fans through a crowdfunding campaign, but GoFundMe terminated the campaign saying they do not “tolerate the promotion of discrimination or exclusion.” The Australian Christian Lobby, an extreme religious group, stepped in to help Folau raise over $2 million to fund his legal battles. ‘Straight Pride’ Organizer: We Are A “Totally Peaceful, Racist Group”

In the end, the truth will out itself.

While addressing the city council of Modesto, California, Don Grundmann, one of the organizer’s of a proposed ‘Straight Pride’ parade, told the councilors he is a leader of “a totally peaceful, racist group.”

The room instantly burst into laughter at the blunder.

Watch below.

Grundmann tried to correct his comment, but the slip had those in attendance laughing so hard he couldn’t be heard over the hysteria.

He is the co-founder of the National Straight Pride Coalition with local resident Mylinda Mason.

I recently reported on Mason’s adopted son, Matthew, who is openly gay and speaking out against the event and his own mother.

Matthew told NBC News that he was home-schooled by his mother from kindergarten to 12th grade and was “raised to toe her party line.”

“Any sort of ideological deviation from her philosophy was grounds for punishment, so I quickly learned that I had to say what she wanted me to say and do what she wanted me to do — until I became an adult and I was free and then I lived in my own truth, so that’s what I’m doing,” Matthew told NBC News.

The 28-year-old says his mother would bring him to anti-LGBTQ protests outside the annual LGBTQ prom in Hayward, California.

When NBC News spoke to the mother, she blamed her son’s homosexuality for their poor relationship.

“Homosexuals, in general, pull away from family and friends at some point,” she said, calling it “very typical.”

The Modesto News reports more than a hundred locals showed up to address the city council about the upcoming event.

Adult performers Dante Colle and Michael Delray came across a homophobic street preacher admonishing them for being gay.

After asking how to be forgiven for their sins, the preacher reportedly replied, “There’s no helping you guys.”

So, the couple decided they “might as well enjoy it then.”

And the duo began making out, stripping off their shirts in protest of the hate speech.

‘Straight Pride Parade’ Organizers: We Were ‘Terrorized’ By Glitter

(stock photo: Vinicius Vilela via Pexels)

The organizers of Boston’s so-called “Straight Pride Parade” say that they were targeted with “suspicious packages in the mail” that ended up containing… Glitter!

In early June, an organization called Super Happy Fun America, which says it is “committed to creating spaces for people of all identities to embrace the vibrancy of the straight community,” announced their event.

Their mission statement declares, “We believe that true diversity is only possible when people of all sexual orientations are free to celebrate their lifestyles.”

The city of Boston approved the group’s ‘Straight Pride’ event application after Super Happy Fun America threatened to sue.

One of the main organizers, Samson Racioppi, told CNN he found an envelope in his mailbox on Monday.

“I went out to my mailbox and there was an envelope in there with my name and address, no return address, the back was very heavily taped up and when I shook it I heard stuff shaking around inside,” Racioppi told CNN.

After calling authorities, a hazmat team evacuated his neighbors homes and closed traffic down his street.

Racioppi reached out to his co-organizers, including Mark Sahady, Vice President of Super Happy Fun America.

Sahady found a similar package at his home. He described the contents as a “sand-like substance.”

But when the envelope was examined by experts, the contents were revealed to be glitter and a hand-written note.

Glitter, folks. Glitter.

Kristen Setera, a spokesman for the FBI, told CNN the bureau does not believe the packages (of glitter) “pose a threat to public safety” but the investigation is ongoing.

Folks in the LGBTQ media have called the idea of the parade, tentatively scheduled for August 31, homophobic.

Super Happy Fun America’s president, John Hugo, dismisses the criticism saying the event is “not anti-gay but pro-straight.”

“Straight people are an oppressed majority,” states on the group’s official website. “We will fight for the right of straights everywhere to express pride in themselves without fear of judgement and hate.”

Because the 4.5 percent of the U.S. population that is estimated to be LGBTQ are ‘oppressing’ the other 95 percent. Uh-huh.

Controversial homocon Milo Yiannopolous is scheduled to be the grand marshal for the event that’s predicted to draw 2,000 participants.

Folau was pronounced guilty of a code of conduct breach and stripped of his contract last month for an Instagram post that said “hell awaits” gay people.

He was told during his code of conduct hearing that if he would remove the Instagram post that said homosexuals were destined for hell he could save his contract and career.

He chose otherwise, and now he wants someone else to foot the bill.

On Thursday, he launched a crowdfunding campaign asking supporters to donate money towards his legal fund as he continues to wrangle with Rugby Australia.

According to TheAustralian.com, Folau owns 8 homes worth over $5 million.

He also apparently owns a $500k Lamborghini. So, it’s rather audacious for him to ask fans to pay his bills.

‘The View’ Host Says Jesus Would Attend A Pride Parade, Homophobes Burst Into Flames

Sunny Hostin of ‘The View’

During Monday’s episode of The View, the gabfest was discussing the beginning of Pride Month when a recent tweet by Catholic Bishop Thomas Tobin of Providence, Rhode Island, came up.

Bishop Tobin had taken it upon himself to remind Catholics not to attend Pride events this month because “they promote a culture and encourage activities that are contrary to Catholic faith and morals.”

Tobin added that Pride events “are especially harmful for children.”

The irony here is that this is the same bishop who acknowledged in 2018 that he “became aware of incidents of sexual abuse” in his diocese in the mid-1990s, but said reporting the allegations were not part of his “responsibilities,” and so, he remained silent.

And complicit…

Back to The View, one of the show’s co-hosts, Sunny Hostin, shared that she is a practicing Catholic and she wouldbe attending a Pride event with her children because that’s “what Jesus would do.”

“I tweeted out that my Catholic children will be attending Pride events as this Catholic will,” she shared with her co-hosts. “And you know, my faith always taught me, ‘What would Jesus do?’ And I know Jesus would be attending that Pride parade, with pride.”

And the crowd goes wild!

But wait – there’s more!

“And I also know that God is love, Jesus is love, love is love,” she added. “For a Catholic bishop to come out and say something like that given the history of pedophilia in the Catholic church, given what the Catholic church has hidden about the abuse of children, some would say that being at a Pride parade would be much safer for a child than it has been to be in a Catholic church for many years.”

Boom!

Cue Whoopi Goldberg dinging her bell six times.

Now, we love Ms. Hostin for the awesome support – and the epic breakdown of obvious hypocrisy by the church – but, the story doesn’t end there.

Homophobic inhabitants of the Twitterverse started losing their minds attacking Hostin, and it got ugly quick.

Gus Kenworthy To Gay Ski Week Trolls: “Stay The F*ck At Home”

When social media trolls hated on a gay ski week event, out Olympic skier Gus Kenworthy told them to "Stay the fuck at home."
Olympic silver medalist Gus Kenworthy

One of the many things we love about out Olympic skier Gus Kenworthy is that he does not suffer fools lightly.

With the annual Breck Pride Week happening this week (April 3-7) in Colorado, the Breckenridge Ski Resort posted a photo on social media last week featuring skiers racing down the mountain with a rainbow Pride flag.

But, right on cue, anti-LGBTQ haters had to show up and troll the posts.

“Okay, my question is, why don’t we have a straight event for those who are straight, why does being lgbt make you more special than anyone else?”

“Really breck? This is almost forcing you views on to other people that are just tryna shred. You are making the place that people go to escape filled with political bs. Go ahead and comment hearts as me but just know you’d be better off without this.”

“I wonder when is ‘normal’ people parade?”

“Why celebrate something that is not even a 1% of the us and even less in the world?”

“Wow this was my favorite resort as a kid to ski at. Now people are being bombarded with a pride parade when all they are trying to do is enjoy a nice vacation at a ski resort. Just keep to being a ski resort nothing more.”

And then there were the simple, “Just NO” and “#unfollow” comments.

We’re not sure a simple photo on social media qualifies for “bombardment.”

For its part, Breckenridge Ski Resorts social media team would simply reply with a rainbow of heart emojis.

But our man Gus was not having it.

“Always saddened by the homophobia on Pride posts,” he tweeted as he shared screen caps of the hateful comments. “If seeing a rainbow flag while you’re on vacation upsets you then please do the world a favor and stay the fuck at home. “

He added, “Thank you to the many ski resorts that designate a week to making more people feel welcomed, included & safe!”

#Boom!

Since coming out in 2015 after winning the silver medal at the Sochi Olympic Games, Gus has been all kinds of out, loud and proud and we wouldn’t want him any other way.

Even though he didn’t medal in last year’s Winter Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea, he served up furry gay goodness kissing his boyfriend, actor Matt Wilkas, at the bottom of the ski slope on world-wide television.

The 27-year-old recently announced he plans to raise $1 million for the upcoming AIDS/LifeCycle event in June which raises funds for HIV/AIDS awareness campaigns.

Go, go, go Gus!
