Homocon Brandon Straka arrested for taking part in the violent invasion of the U.S. Capitol on January 6.

From The Daily Beast:

Brandon Straka, 43, has been charged with several crimes, including impeding a law enforcement officer during civil disorder and engaging in disorderly conduct with the intent to disturb a hearing before Congress, for his role in the Jan. 6 siege.

The ex-New York City hairstylist and self-described “former liberal” is best known for starting the “WalkAway Campaign,” which urged liberal voters to leave the Democratic Party. Earlier this month, Straka announced Facebook had removed the campaign’s page, which had over half a million followers.

Straka apparently made it very easy to gather evidence about his participation in the Capitol attack. Like many of his wacky, violent pals he tweeted videos and statements throughout the incident documenting his involvement.

He also made headlines last June when he refused to wear a face mask on an American Airlines flight. He was eventually removed from the plane and banned from any future flights on American.

I recently reported on another gay Trump supporter, Kristopher Dreww, who also fears being arrested for taking part in the attack on the Capitol.

NYC: Homocon Hosts ‘Corona Potluck’ Party During Health Crisis

Gay conservative Lucian Wintrich, who founded ‘Twinks 4 Trump,’ decided the best way for him to cope with the ongoing coronavirus threat was to host a ‘Corona Potluck’ party at his home in New York City’s East Village.

“They can’t diagnose us all,” declared Wintrich’s invitation for the March 14 shindig. “Don’t wash your hands. Bring your favorite dish!”

The artwork for the invitation included a little boy covered with spots on his face.

Note – at the time the invitation was sent the “can’t diagnose us all” part of the invite was true as there was a shortage of COVID-19 tests available. That’s still the case in some parts of the country.

“The majority of folks I invited, if they got it, would recover fairly quickly and build up an immunity to the present form of COVID19,” Wintrich told the New York Post. “It was relatively inspired by the chickenpox parties that were all the rage in the 90s.”

In the 1990s “chickenpox parties” were a trend among parents as a way to inoculate their children against the chickenpox virus later in life. The idea was to expose their kids to disease while young so they would develop natural immunity, but the practice fell out of favor once a vaccine was developed.

Note – Medical experts haven’t confirmed if people develop an immunity to COVID-19 after recovering from the disease.

It’s disconcerting that Wintrich says “the majority” of invited friends would recover quickly. So, he invited people who he felt might NOT recover quickly?

Admitting the health threat is “serious to a degree,” Wintrich added, “I wouldn’t hang around folks over the age of 50 and risk infecting the more vulnerable.”

It’s important to note that while seniors have been identified as being more ‘at risk’ from serious illness due to coronavirus, younger people are not considered ‘safe’ from infection.

A 40-year-old attendee of the Winter Party festival in Miami earlier this month died in less than a week from complications due to coronavirus.

After founding ’Twinks 4 Trump,’ Wintrich gained dubious notoriety for being briefly credentialed as a White House reporter for the alt-right blog Gateway Pundit. His boss, openly gay Jim Hoft, admitted he sent Wintrich to ask ridiculous questions and basically annoy the White House press corps.

The Post spoke to two attendees of the party to get their perspective on the contrarian approach to the ongoing health threat.

One attendee, who asked to remain anonymous to avoid repercussions from friends and co-workers, referenced World War II as part of his rationale for taking part in the event.

“When Britain was being bombed by Nazi Germany during the blitz, they kept the f–king stores open. People went about their lives,” they told the Post. “We get a flu … and we shut everything down. … We have completely handed over our civil liberties … and anyone who wants to go out and live a normal life is semi-ostracized.”

Brian Alacorn, 24, said he went to the party because “Lucian is my friend and he texted me.”

“I thought I shouldn’t, because of the social distancing – but my friends were already outside and I just kinda went.”

The event took place after all Broadway theaters had been shut down and the governor had declared a state of emergency.

Just hours after the ‘potluck party’ ended the New York City Health Department issued guidelines telling people “even if you are not sick, stay home as much as you can: work from home, study from home and avoid all unnecessary interactions and events.”

At this writing, there have been 790 coronavirus-related deaths in New York City alone.

Homocon: Leather Events Are “An Affront To Gay Acceptance”

L-R Brad Polumbo (image via Twitter), stock photo via Depositphotos

Conservative homo journalist Brad Polumbo has penned an op-ed decrying the “degenerate gay community” for celebrating at the annual Mid-Atlantic Leather Weekend (MAL) in Washington D.C. last weekend.

While Polumbo dined at “a fancy Mexican joint” and then headed home to re-watch HBO’s Game of Thrones, he was apparently appalled that “public displays of debauchery” at MAL was giving us all a bad name and “annihilating what progress we’ve made.”

From his essay in the Washington Examiner:

Many of the events took place at gay bars, and the agenda included events such as “Deviant,” a “circuit party and celebration for queer people of color,” as well as “Sungay,” described as “an outdoor day party with leather aficionados, muscle boys, bears and more.”

This is disgusting. But it’s more than that: It’s eminently harmful to gay progress and acceptance.

Wait – a celebration for queer people of color and a tea party with muscle boys, leather guys and bear sounds ‘disgusting?’ It sounds like a fun time to me.

Polumbo goes on to list why he’s so angry.

First, he thinks it’s “bizarre” for folks to be open about their “sexual kinks and perversions.” And worse, that people “conflate their sexual deviancy with homosexuality.”

The strange thing about that assertion is that in the next breath he admits leather or fetishes aren’t strictly gay flavors writing, “I would argue that these people are no different from heterosexuals with similar perversions, so why the exhibitionism?”

I would ask, “Why the outrage?”

Polumbo claims is that holding events like MAL are “an affront to gay acceptance, they fight for which was actually rooted in an appeal to family values and bourgeois norms.”

Of course, he’s wrong on that point. In reality, the fight for queer rights emerged out of standing up for equal treatment under the law and against discrimination, not “an appeal to family values.”

He closes his diatribe by claiming LGBTQ activists are trying to “sneak debauchery into the gay community’s public image.” And he feels that proudly flaunting “perversion” and conflating it with “all gay people” won’t change the minds of bigots who already say the gays are “immoral.”

Someone should tell Mr. Polumbo that no matter how “boring” (his word) his life might be, anti-LGBTQ bigots are still going to judge him. No matter how many polo shirts and khaki shorts you wear, you’ll never be a part of their club.

Nothing against polo shirts and khaki shorts btw. I wear them all the time.

Remember, MAL is a series of events behind closed doors that attendees pay to get into. It’s not about anyone’s public image or conflating a leather fetish with “all gay people.”

In sharing his op-ed on Twitter (more than a dozen times in less than a day), he shares that “the LGBT ‘community’ has shown me zero kindness” which seems to be more telling than anything.

It sounds like he doesn’t get laid enough so he’s mad at others for having fun? Or for being proud of who they are or what they like?

It’s also notable that if you Google his name, the first hit to come up is another essay he wrote complaining that gays won’t date homo conservatives.

And there you have it.

In any case, the Twitterverse did clap back at the judgmental screed:

Homocon Journalist Invents “Transgender Privilege” And LGBTQ Folks Were Not Having It

In the aftermath of Vermont candidate Christine Hallquist’s historic win in the Democratic gubernatorial race this past Tuesday, a gay conservative journalist accused Hallquist of winning due to “transgender privilege.”
Democratic gubernatorial candidate for Vermont, Christine Hallquist

In the aftermath of Vermont candidate Christine Hallquist’s historic win in the Democratic gubernatorial race this past Tuesday, a gay conservative journalist accused Hallquist of winning due to “transgender privilege.”

Wait, what?

Speaking to Fox News host Tucker Carlson on Wednesday night, Chadwick Moore said, “She can get away with many, many things simply by being transgender.”

“I mean, who knows if that’s even how she won this primary,” he added. “But while the entire country is fixated on the fact that she’s transgender, nobody knows anything about her policies.”

It’s patently false to claim “nobody knows anything” about Hallquist’s policies and priorities.

As I wrote earlier this week, she spent the past several months criss-crossing the state sharing her ideas on addressing poverty, promoting renewable energy and fighting climate change, spotlighting economic development in the state’s rural areas, raising the minimum wage, working toward single-payer health care, and reworking the school funding structure, as well as empowering LGBTQ Vermonters.

Whether you consider the various “bathroom bills” being introduced in multiple states meant to keep trans people from using the bathroom that aligns with their gender identity, or the Trump administration’s attempts to keep transgender service members from serving in the U.S. military, the idea of “transgender privilege” is laughable.

LGBTQ advocates and politicians were not down with Moore’s claim of “transgender privilege.”

On Twitter, folks began trending the hashtag #transgenderprivilege, attempting to spotlight the violence and discrimination that transgender Americans face on a daily basis.

A study by the National Center for Transgender Equality found in 2015 that 46% of trans folks had been the target of verbal assault in the past year.

Additionally, 30% said they had been fired or denied a promotion for being transgender.

And one in ten trans respondents admitted to having been physically assaulted by family members.

Does this sound like “privilege” to you?

Annise Parker, former mayor of Houston and now President of the LGBTQ Victory Fund, addressed the ludicrous idea of “transgender privilege” in a statement which read, in part:

“For two cisgender white men on Fox News to bemoan ‘transgender privilege’ in a conversation about one of the few openly trans candidates in the entire nation requires extraordinary ignorance, at best.

“Christine was the chief executive of a well-respected energy utility company for more than 12 years and traveled the entire state sharing with voters her progressive vision for Vermont.

“They claimed Vermont primary voters know nothing beyond her gender identity while in fact the opposite is true – voters chose Christine because of her experience and positions, not because of her gender identity, and it is an insult to Vermont voters to say otherwise.

“To say trans candidates have ‘privilege’ is simply these two pundits spewing nonsense and hate – there are only 13 trans people in elected office nationwide, hardly a privileged group.”

Hundreds Protest And Shut Down Homocon Milo Yiannopoulos’ Event In California

While I don’t support violence as a form of protest, I do support the hundreds of protesters right to raise their voices.

From CNN:

A speech by right-wing commentator Milo Yiannopoulos’ at UC Davis was over before it even started Friday after protests erupted, forcing sponsors to cancel the event. Thirty minutes before the Breitbart tech editor was scheduled to speak, the UC Davis College Republicans canceled the controversial talk after consulting with the university’s police department and student affairs officials. Former pharmaceutical executive, Martin Shkreli had also been scheduled to speak at the event.

“I am deeply disappointed with the events of this evening,” said Interim Chancellor Ralph J. Hexter. “Our community is founded on principles of respect for all views, even those that we personally find repellent. As I have stated repeatedly, a university is at its best when it listens to and critically engages opposing views, especially ones that many of us find upsetting or even offensive.”

Earlier in the evening, protesters blocked access to the venue. Surrounding the lecture hall with signs, they chanted, “Say it loud, say it clear, racists are not welcome here.” Yiannopoulos posted on Facebook that the event had been canceled “after violence from left-wing protestors.”

Gay GOP Congressional Candidate Carl DeMaio Has ANOTHER Scandal On His Hands

Yet another scandal is rocking the campaign of Republican US House candidate Carl DeMaio as accusations of secretly authoring a UT San Diego editorial that slammed his opponent, Democratic Rep. Scott Peters have surfaced today.

From NBC 7 in San Diego:

Former DeMaio staffer Todd Bosnich said he and campaign spokesman Dave McCulloch were the authors of an editorial entitled “Scott Peters and the Mount Soledad Shuffle.”

Bosnich accused DeMaio of improper sexual conduct in an interview with CNN on October 10. The DeMaio campaign says Bosnich was fired for plagiarism.

“I worked with Dave on it,” Bosnich said. “So it was, basically, the two of us who wrote it.”

The December 2013 editorial says that “The newly renewed debate over the Mount Soledad Veterans Memorial — and how Rep. Scott Peters, D-San Diego, actually feels about it — isn’t just a tiff over trivia. Instead, it’s a revealing reminder that Peters has a history of being both slippery and in substantive.”

The emails provided to NBC 7 indicate that after the editorial ran, McCulloch reached out to a consultant, other campaign staff and the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) boasting that “UT San Diego scorched Peters over the Soledad Cross today, saying ‘Peters has a history of being both slippery and insubstantive’ and that ‘rewriting his own history and ducking responsibility for his actions have always come easy to Scott Peters.’”

In response, Alleigh Marree of the NRCC said: “This is great. Will be able to use these lines A LOT.”

In the email thread provided to NBC 7 Investigates, DeMaio wrote back, “Well, we did wrote (sic) it ourselves.”

William Osborne, editorial/opinion director of UT San Diego, told NBC 7 Investigates that UT San Diego editorial writer Chris Reed wrote the editorial. According to Osborne, the DeMaio campaign claimed the email thread had been fabricated.

“If that email is authentic, I cannot explain it and won’t speculate,” Osborne said. “I can only tell you that Carl DeMaio personally denied to me that he wrote it and said it (the email) was a ‘fabrication.’”

Bosnich said the email thread was not altered in any way, adding that the editorial appeared almost “exactly word for word” as he and McCulloch wrote it.

It’s worth noting that UT Sand Diego has endorsed Carl DeMaio for Congress.

San Diego City Beat reporter Kelly Davis took her thoughts public when she felt she was being stonewalled by the DeMaio campaign:

Candidate for Congress: Homo-con Carl DeMaio is “Independent”

Openly gay GOP US House candidate Carl DeMaio closes his newest attack ad by reminding you that he’s “independent.”

I’m not sure how “independent” he is, in that he told a group of tea baggers that he “owes everything” to the Tea Party.

But you know, he’s independent.

Plus, you’ll remember DeMaio reported a break-in at his campaign offices earlier this year. It was then reported that authorities believe the break-in was staged by his own staffers.
