Hillary Clinton Talks With EXTRA’s Mario Lopez On Donald Trump, Kim Kardashian & Kanye West

Sitting down with EXTRA’s Mario Lopez, Hillary chats on a range of topics including Donald Trump’s current run for the GOP nomination:

“I am watching this with some concern because I think a lot of what he has said has been really inflammatory and destructive.

“He has not put forward any real policies. He has made a lot of claims and I think it may reflect on the Republican side some of the pent up frustration that they have.

“I’m going to let them deal with however they choose their nominee, but I am certainly looking forward, if he were the nominee, to debating him in the general election because there’s a lot to talk about starting with his really outrageous statements about immigration.”

Department Of Justice: Hillary Clinton Had Authority To Delete Personal Emails

Not many folks picked up on this story at the end of the week wherein the Department of Justice issued a statement that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton broke no laws and was within her rights to delete personal emails.

“There is no question that former Secretary Clinton had authority to delete personal emails without agency supervision.  She appropriately could have done so even if she were working on a government server.”

Gee, wonder why no one paid attention to this? Things that make you go “hmm…”

Hillary Clinton On ELLEN

A really charming, warm appearance by Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton on ELLEN yesterday.

Clip description: The presidential candidate joined Ellen in New York City! Hillary stopped by to talk about everything from Kanye to her granddaughter’s first words.

A cute moment came when Ellen asked Hillary what she’d like her granddaughter to call her when she begins speaking. Hillary calmly said, “Well, I’m fine with “Grandma,” I’m fine with “Madame President. Whatever strikes her…”

I’ve seen some comments on the interwebs claiming the appearance was “pandering.” I disagree. I think voters like to get to know their politicians beyond their policy papers and stump speeches. And I’ve spoken to many who have spent time in Hillary’s presence and everyone says her natural warmth and personality are much more obvious in those relaxed settings.

I have no problem with politicians letting their guard down for a minute and letting us see other colors of their lives.

Poll: Bernie Sanders Leads Hillary In New Hampshire, Surges In Iowa

A new NBC News/Marist poll shows how much things have shifted for Hillary Clinton in the race for the Democratic nominee for president.

In New Hampshire, Sen. Bernie Sanders now leads with 41 percent of Democratic voters, Clinton at 32 percent and Vice President Joe Biden gets 16 percent. That’s a flip from July Clinton led Sanders 42% to 32%.

Over in Iowa, Clinton stays in front but with a lead that’s shrinking. She currently has 38% of likely voters, 11 points over Sanders at 27%.

Of course, the first votes are still four months away…

Bernie Sanders Edges Closer to Hillary Clinton In New Iowa Poll

To be honest, it’s waaaaay early in this election cycle but a new poll from the Des Moines Register-Bloomberg Politics shows Bernie Sanders has whittled Hillary Clinton’s once commanding lead in Iowa to only 7 points.

The new survey shows Hillary with 37% support and Sanders at 30%. Veep Joe Biden got 14% even though he’s not announced if he will enter the race yet.

When you factor out Biden, the numbers shifted to Hillary 43% and Sanders 35%.

I like both Sanders and Clinton, but I have a hard time seeing Americans electing a politician who self-identifies as “Socialist.”

Gallup Poll: Hispanics Really Really Don’t Like Donald Trump

As we all watched Donald Trump have a Univision news anchor Jorge Ramos removed from his Iowa press conference today, a new Gallup poll today shows Hispanics have a very negative view of presidential aspirant Donald Trump.

That’s a big -51% for Trump. His perceived biggest opponent, Jeb Bush, has a positive favorability of +11.

And by the way, in case you were wondering, Hillary Clinton has a huge positive number – +40 –  among Hispanics:

Poll: Donald Trump Within 6 Points Of Hillary Clinton

According to the latest CNN/ORC polling, Donald Trump’s lead in the Republican Party presidential race has boosted him to be within 6 points of Hillary Clinton.

He trailed Clinton by 16 points in a July poll, and narrowed that gap by boosting his standing among Republicans and Republican-leaning independents (from 67% support in July to 79% now), men (from 46% in July to 53% now) and white voters (from 50% to 55%).

But Clinton still holds the cards overall in the race for the White House, leading four Republican contenders: She tops Trump and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker by 6 points each among registered voters, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush by 9 points, and businesswoman Carly Fiorina by 10 points.

The race in the Democratic primary has tightened also with Bernie Sanders notching 29% to Hillary’s 47%.

Vice-president Joe Biden received 14% support.

Donald Trump & Hillary Clinton On Top In Iowa Polls

Results of the first CNN/ORC poll in Iowa this election cycle shows Donald Trump surging to the top spot despite what establishment political experts cite as gaffes and missteps.

The Donald is turning into the “Teflon Donald.”

From CNN:

Trump tops the field with 22% and is the candidate seen as best able to handle top issues including the economy, illegal immigration and terrorism. He’s most cited as the one with the best chance of winning the general election, and, by a wide margin, as the candidate most likely to change the way things work in Washington.

Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson follows Trump in overall preference with 14%, bumping Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, who had held the top spot in most recent public polling in Iowa, down to third place with 9%.

Walker is nearly even with a slew of other candidates. Previous public polls had found Carson with around 10% support, but most were released before last week’s debate.

A Suffolk University poll of Iowa Republicans released Tuesday found Carson’s closing remarks to be the most memorable moment for those who watched the prime time debate.

The results of the just announced CNN/ORC poll of Democratic voters shows Hillary Clinton with a strong lead in Iowa with 50% of likely caucus goers leaning her way. Sen. Bernie Sanders stands at 31% in second place, and Vice-President Joe Biden (who is not currently in the race) at 12%.

Other announced candidates former Sen. Jim Webb, former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley and Lincoln Chaffee barely reaching 1% support.

Bernie Sanders Pulls Ahead Of Hillary Clinton in New Hampshire Poll

For the first time, Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont has pulled ahead of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in a poll of Democratic voters.

From CNN:

Sanders topped Clinton with 44% compared to her 37% support among likely Democratic primary voters, according to a Franklin Pierce University/Boston Herald poll.

Sanders has been gaining momentum as he generates enthusiasm among the Democratic Party’s progressive base but until now he has still trailed Clinton in every early state poll.

Clinton continues to enjoy more than double Sanders’ support in national polls, though that polling has also shown Clinton’s vulnerabilities as voters question her honesty and trustworthiness.
