Campaign Ad: Ted Cruz Is Desperate To Get Attention

This is honestly one of the dumbest campaign ads I’ve ever seen. Is this supposed to make him look tough?

GOP presidential hopeful Sen. Ted Cruz wants you to believe he cooks bacon by wrapping it around the barrel of a high-powered gun.

SRSLY?

From the folks who brought you Dr. Ben Carson playing “Operation” and Sen. Lindsey Graham destroying his cell phone.

First GOP Presidential Debate: Who’s In & Who’s Out?

Donald Trump: Obama Has Done Nothing For Blacks, I Will Win The Minority Vote

Appearing on ABC News’ This Week, Donald Trump said President Obama has done “nothing” for African-Americans, and he predicts he will carry the black vote in the upcoming 2016 presidential election.

Via Raw Story:

“He has set a very low bar and I think it’s a shame for the African-American people,” Trump told ABC’s Jonathan Karl. “And by the way, he has done nothing for African-Americans. You look at what’s going on, at their income levels, you look at what’s gone on with their youth.”

“I thought that the would be a great cheerleader for this country, I thought he would do a fabulous job for the African-American citizens of this country.”

“He has done nothing,” Trump insisted. “They are worse than just about ever, they have problems now in terms of unemployment numbers… Here you have a black president who has done very poorly for the African-Americans in this country.”

The billionaire candidate concluded with a prediction: “I think I will win the black vote, I think I will win the Hispanic vote.”

Donald Trump: The Other GOP Candidates Are In Trouble, But I’d Be Great President

In a lengthy soft-ball interview with Fox News’ Eric Bolling, Donald Trump takes the opportunity to repeat his details-free campaign speech.

Jeb Bush is terrible; Scott Walker is horrible, Wisconsin is in trouble; Chris Christie has New Jersey in trouble; Marco Rubio is bad on immigration…

All the while throwing out random “I’ll be a great president” statements.

Rolling asks Trump specifically HOW he plans to make Mexico pay for a huge wall between the U.S. and Mexico. After swinging wide and far over lots of points, he never answers exactly HOW he will make Mexico pay for “the wall.”

President Obama Slaps Back At Mike Huckabee Over Iran/Israel Comments

Speaking at a press conference in Ethiopia, President Obama slapped back at current GOP presidential hopefuls who have taken to making “ridiculous” claims about his policies, and “outrageous attacks” that were unbecoming to presidential politics.

The president was asked about Mike Huckabee’s assertion yesterday that the nuclear deal currently under consideration with Iran would “take the Israelis and march them to the door of the oven.”

Addressing the question, Obama tied Huckabee’s comments to other Republican 2016 nominees:

“The particular comments of Mr. Huckabee are just part of a general pattern we’ve seen that would be considered ridiculous if it weren’t so sad. We’ve had a sitting senator call John Kerry Pontius Pilate. We’ve had a sitting senator, who also happens to be running for president, suggest that I’m the leading state sponsor of terrorism. These are leaders in the Republican Party.”

Obama later said the comments by Huckabee might be an attempt at getting some attention for his languishing presidential campaign: “Maybe this is just an effort to push Mr. Trump out of the headlines.”

The president summed up the current political environment like this:

“The Republican Party is shocked, and yet that arises out of a culture where those kinds of outrageous attacks have become far too commonplace and get circulated nonstop through the Internet and talk radio and news outlets. And I recognize that when outrageous statements are made about me, a lot of the same people who were outraged when it’s made about Mr. McCain were pretty quiet.”

“The American people deserve better. Certainly presidential debates deserve better. In 18 months, I’m turning over the keys. I want to make sure I’m turning over the keys to somebody who’s serious about the serious problems the country faces and the world faces.”

Rick Perry Turns Up The Heat On Donald Trump’s Inflammatory Remarks

Former Texas Gov. Rick Perry turned up the volume of his attacks on Donald Trump’s inflammatory statements today during a speech at the Willard Hotel in Washington, D.C.:

“He offers a barking carnival act that can be best described as Trumpism: a toxic mix of demagoguery, mean-spiritedness and nonsense that will lead the Republican Party to perdition if pursued.

“Let no one be mistaken: Donald Trump’s candidacy is a cancer on conservatism, and it must be clearly diagnosed, excised and discarded.”

“Donald Trump, the reality television star, is a great generator of ratings. But Donald Trump the candidate is a sower of division, wrongly demonizing Mexican-Americans for political sport.”

“He has piqued the interest of some Republican voters who have legitimate concerns about a porous border and broken immigration system. But instead of offering those voters leadership or solutions, he has offered fear and sound bites. This cannot stand.”

Donald Trump Threatens Third Party Presidential Run

In an interview with The Hill, Donald Trump made clear he would seriously consider a third party run at the presidency should he not secure the GOP nomination.

“The RNC has not been supportive. They were always supportive when I was a contributor. I was their fair-haired boy,” the business mogul told The Hill in a 40-minute interview from his Manhattan office at Trump Tower on Wednesday. “The RNC has been, I think, very foolish.”

Pressed on whether he would run as a third-party candidate if he fails to clinch the GOP nomination, Trump said that “so many people want me to, if I don’t win.”
“I’ll have to see how I’m being treated by the Republicans,” Trump said. “Absolutely, if they’re not fair, that would be a factor.”

Recent polls involving Hillary Clinton, Jeb Bush and Trump indicate Hillary winning with 46%, Bush 30% and Trump 20%.

Go Donald!
