File this under ‘More rats leaving the ship.’ Fox News personality Geraldo Rivera, a longtime ally of Donald Trump, now says the Donald should be impeached as the House of Representatives debates the issue today. In a tweet posted today Rivera says he had a “eureka moment,” saying that “my loyalty toward Donald Trump, my old friend, was misplaced when it comes to what happened last Wednesday.” “Shame on him. He should be impeached,” continued Rivera. “If the Senate wants to acquit him, that’s their business, but he should know that history is judging him.”

Brian Williams Throws Deadpan Shade Geraldo’s Way

MSNBC’s Brian Williams (screen capture)
MSNBC’s Brian Williams threw down some masterful deadpan shade last night at the end of his 11th Hour program after former newsman Geraldo Rivera suggested on Fox News that the upcoming coronavirus vaccines should be named after Donald Trump. Giving props to Trump as the ‘prime architect of Operation WarpSpeed,’ Rivera seems to think Trump the humanitarian scientist created the vaccine all by his little self. “You know, for my money, Geraldo raises a good point there,” begins Williams. “You know it’s possible we just don’t give the president enough credit for his FDR-like devotion to tackling this virus. His laser-like focus, his daily devotion, the sympathy he’s forever expressing to the families of the quarter-million dead.” Williams says all of this and more during a montage of Trump out on a golf course. Hit the play button.

Fox News Hosts Almost Come To Blows Over Who Exploits “Misery” More

In-fighting is fun 🙂

From Mediaite:

As Fox’s The Five discussed Trump today, Jesse Watters credited Trump for his outspokenness and called President Obama a “skinny community organizer.” Geraldo Rivera scolded him for being “disrespectful” and things went downhill from there.

Rivera insisted Trump and others are making wrong conclusions about immigrants over Steinle’s death and shouted, “You’re exploiting the misery of that family!” Watters shot back, “You’re exploring it by downplaying it!”

Eric Bolling got into the mix and told Rivera he “exploits and sensationalizes everything.” This one really set Rivera off.

“You’re lucky that you’re my friend,” he said, “I’d knock you out right now. That’s absolute BS!… What do you do? Where do you get your stuff from?”

“You exploit people more!”

“No – YOU exploit people more!”

Delicious.

Geraldo Rivera shocks the Twitterverse with selfie body photo

Geraldo Rivera shocked the Twitterverse with the above photo he posted on Twitter on July 21.

I don’t find the pic  terribly salacious, but I’m not a fan of Rivera’s to begin with.

Throughout the recent Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman trial, Rivera maintained that Trayvon was shot because he was wearing a “hoodie” and therefore appeared to be a thug.

Geraldo Rivera: “I think the hoodie is as much responsible for Trayvon Martin’s death as George Zimmerman was”

Seriously? From the video:

BRIAN KILMEADE KILMEADE (co-host): Let’s talk about the Trayvon Martin case and what’s going on in Florida right now.

GERALDO RIVERA: I believe that George Zimmerman, the overzealous neighborhood watch captain should be investigated to the fullest extent of the law and if he is criminally liable, he should be prosecuted. But I am urging the parents of black and Latino youngsters particularly to not let their children go out wearing hoodies. I think the hoodie is as much responsible for Trayvon Martin’s death as George Zimmerman was.

JULIET HUDDY (guest-host): What do you mean?

RIVERA: When you, when you see a kid walking — Juliet — when you see a kid walking down the street, particularly a dark skinned kid like my son Cruz, who I constantly yelled at when he was going out wearing a damn hoodie or those pants around his ankles. Take that hood off, people look at you and they — what do they think? What’s the instant identification, what’s the instant association?

At the 2:47 mark Geraldo says “unless it’s raining, or you’re at a track meet – leave the hoodie home.” Has anyone told Geraldo IT WAS RAINING when Trayvon was shot???

Shut up, Geraldo. Shut up.
