Kim Burrell Preached Her Way Right Off The Ellen Show

Gospel singer Kim Burrell got herself cancelled from appearing on The Ellen Show after a video was released of Burrell giving a sermon on the “homosexual spirit” at Love & Liberty Fellowship Church in Houston, DeGeneres says Burrell will not appear.

Burrell was scheduled to perform “I See Victory” from the “Hidden Figures” soundtrack alongside Pharrell Williams. Williams is now slated to appear solo.

“For those asking, Kim Burrell will not be appearing on my show,” DeGeneres tweeted

Here’s the skinny from the Washington Blade:

“Everybody in this room who’s filled with the homosexual spirit, beg God to free you,” Burrell says in the sermon. “You play with it. What does that mean? You’ll die from it. You play with it in God’s house in 2017, you’ll die from it.”

“You as a man, you open your mouth and take a man’s penis in your face, you are perverted,” Burrell continues. “You are a woman and will shake your face in another woman’s breast, you are perverted.”

In a Facebook Live video, Burrell defended her comments and said she “never said all gays were going to hell” and she makes “no excuses or apologies.”
“I never said ‘LGBT.’ I said ‘sin’,” Burrell says. “To every person who is dealing with the homosexual spirit, that has it, I love you and God loves you but God hates the sin in you and me. Anything that is against the nature of God.”

Watch the video below. I don’t know about you, but it sure seems clear she’s talking about gays and lesbians.

Burrell’s collaborator, Pharrell, posted this message in response:

Ellen DeGeneres Receives The Presidential Medal Of Freedom

President Obama admits to getting “kind of choked up” as he presents Ellen DeGeneres with the USA’s highest civilian honour, the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

“It’s easy to forget now just how much courage was required for Ellen to come out on the most public of stages 20 years ago.”

Ellen Highlights Hillary Clinton’s Impressive Dance Moves At Presidential Debates

While political pundits paid a lot of attention to Hillary Clinton’s focus and discipline during the presidential debates thus far, Ellen zeroed in on that crucial moment when the former secretary of state was able to bring her famous dance moves to the fore.

Later in the interview, Hillary spoke about Trump’s odd body language during the 2nd debate:

“It was clear that my opponent Donald Trump was going to try to dominate the space almost to the exclusion of the people who were sitting there. They were sitting there so we could talk to them. And because of the revelation of the public video and everything that came out on Access Hollywood, he was really all wrought up and you could just sense how much anger he had, and so he was trying to dominate and then literally stalk me around the stage, and I would just feel this presence behind me. I thought, ‘whoa, this is really weird.’”

Funny: “Ellen & Michelle’s Big CVS Adventure”

Ellen DeGeneres and First Lady Michelle Obama needs their own sitcom.

In preparation of Michelle’s impending departure from the White House, Ellen sought to reintroduce the First Lady to the wonderful world of CVS shopping, but thing go awry when Ellen gets out of hand.

Via Mashable:

The two (mostly Ellen, really) wreaked havoc around the CVS. They rummaged through magazines, bought Sasha Obama headphones and tried to give store employees back scratches. One lucky customer also got to teach Obama everything she needs to know about boxed wine.

“You are really not a good person to shop with,” Obama eventually told DeGeneres before she tried to sign a woman’s baby. “You know you’re really annoying,” Obama said. “It’s like taking a 3-year-old to the store.”

Channing Tatum Brings “Magic Mike Live” To ELLEN

Huge exposure for Channing Tatum’s upcoming Las Vegas extravaganza, “Magic Mike Live,” as Tatum and his guys gave Ellen DeGeneres a live taste of what folks can expect in Sin City.

“Magic Mike Live” is scheduled to debut in March 2017 at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas.

First, Channing explained his reasons for doing the live show:

“I had a friend that had a girlfriend who went to Vegas and went to some of the male reviews there and she didn’t tell my buddy about it and he’s like why didn’t you tell me. She was embarrassed. She was like I don’t know it wasn’t cool. We just thought let’s go make something cool. Let’s go make something really for you guys (ladies) and hopefully we’re going to be able to do that.”

And then, the fun began. Watch the segment below:

Hillary Clinton Plays “Who’d You Rather?” With Ellen

Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton played a vice-presidential game of “Who’d You Rather?” with Ellen DeGeneres yesterday, and the choices got really tough.

“We’ll keep switching until you narrow it down,” DeGeneres said.

“This is very helpful,” Clinton said. “Don’t tell anybody because we want it to be a big surprise.”

Early match-ups were easy for Clinton (Joe Biden easily beat billionaire Mark Cuban), but then things got tougher as the choices ramped up to George Clooney, Beyoncé, Leonardo DiCaprio and First Lady Michelle Obama.

It was a fun segment. Nice to see the lighter side of Hillary here.

Ellen Explains Mississippi’s New Anti-LGBT Law To You

Ellen DeGeneres took a few minutes to talk about Mississippi’s new anti-LGBT law that allows business owners to legal deny services and goods to LGBT folks via “sincerely held religious beliefs.”

So, if you don’t know, the Governor of the state signed a religious freedom bill, which might sound good because the word freedom is in it. But here’s what it means.

Under the law, if you say for religious reasons you can ‘deny gay people marriage, adoption and foster care services; fire or refuse to employ them; and decline to rent or sell them property.’

Now, I’m not a political person, I’m really not. But this is not politics this is human rights. And I mean, when I see something wrong, I have to talk about it. It’s the same thing that I do when I see men wearing Spandex in line at Starbucks. It’s wrong and I need to discuss it.

So, this issue is very personal to me, obviously. I’m disappointed for several reasons. First of all, Mississippi is the only state I know how to spell. Second of all, that is the definition of discrimination.

So, if you’re in Mississippi or North Carolina or anywhere, and you’re saddened by the fact that people are judging you based on who you love, don’t lose hope. I was fired for being gay, I know what it feels like. I lost everything. And look at me now. I could buy that governor’s mansion, flip it and make a $7 million dollar profit.

Zac Efron Twerks And Gives Ellen DeGeneres A Lap Dance

Hunky Zac Efron stopped by Ellen to promote his upcoming movie Dirty Grandpa, and our intrepid hostess talks Zac into a game of HEADS UP.

And, because she loves us, she picked the category of “bad behavior.”

Zac does not fail in his mission. He successfully gets to act out – in leather pants, no less – “lap dance,” “twerk,” “making out,” and “skinny dipping.” Although, I really thought he should have ripped off that shirt for the “skinny-dipping” challenge.

Check it out below.
