News: Montana Silences Trans Lawmaker + Disney Sues Florida + More

Some news items you might have missed: • NPR: Montana’s Republican-controlled state House of Representatives has voted to formally silence trans Rep. Zooey Zephyr (D). Disney World Drops Gendered Announcements, Snowflakes Whine

For years, audiences of the nightly fireworks show at Disneyland and Disney World would hear, “Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, dreamers of all ages.” Last week, the announcement was shortened to simply, “Good evening, dreamers of all ages.” According to Deadline. the new, genderless announcement will be incorporated at other Disney parks including Tokyo Disneyland. The change comes amid other efforts to update or remove outdated portions of rides. Some of the amusements being tweaked include racially-insensitive aspects of the Jungle Cruise and Splash Mountain. The company has also recently relaxed its rules on employee expression in regard to hairstyles, jewelry, nails, and tattoos. The Miami Herald reports the updates were well-received by LGBTQ guests and workers, but apparently some conservatives chose to be offended. One person tweeted, “Disney gets more ridiculous every day.” “I HATE THAT. BRING IT BACK NOW!!!” wrote another. I guess I’m surprised that anyone would bother to even write out a tweet over such a minor thing. #snowflakes

Of course, ON the desk isn’t quite the optimal spot for Michael, but no one asked him. • ABC4 News: A Salt Lake City man reportedly violently raped and assaulted a lesbian woman and told her that he was going to “fix the gay,” according to police. • Yorkshire Live: A father stabbed his own two sons during a Boxing Day argument when they called him out for transphobic and homophobic slurs. One of the sons had to spend three nights in the hospital because the knife almost perforated his bowel and another had a stab wound near his heart. • New York Times: In the final weeks of Donald Trump’s term, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) privately asked the White House for blanket pre-emptive pardons for himself and unidentified congressional allies for any crimes they may have committed. At that time, he was being investigated as to whether he had a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old that violated sex trafficking laws.

• People: A man from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was arrested at Walt Disney World in February for refusing to undergo a simple temperature check. As he was being arrested he announced to the officer, “I spent $15,000 to come here!” As if that would absolve him from dodging the rules… • Forbes: Donald Trump’s fortune fell by nearly a third, from $3.5 billion to $2.4 billion, during his time in the White House. Had he divested himself of everything on Day 1, paid the capital-gains taxes on the sales, and put the proceeds into a conflict-free fund tracking the S&P 500, Trump would have ended his presidency an estimated $1.6 billion richer than he is today. • Gr8erDays: Billy Dee Williams is the nostalgia site’s ‘Mantique of the day’ as the big screen star celebrates his 84th birthday. Mom Rants That ‘Childless’ People Should Be Banned From Disney World

Twitter user @JenKatWrites recently shared a mother’s off-the-charts Facebook rant about ‘childless couples’ at Disney World, and the Twitterverse took note.

Twitter user @JenKatWrites recently shared a mother’s off-the-charts Facebook rant about ‘childless couples’ at Disney World, and the Twitterverse took note.

The post, which is dated September 22, begins, “It pisses me off TO NO END!!!!! when I see CHILDLESS COUPLES WITHOUT AT Disney World!!!!”

Warning – the mother likes her capital letters.

“DW is a FAMILY amusement park!!!!,” continued our super-pissed off mom. “Yet these IMMATURE millennials THROW AWAY THEIR MONEY ON USELESS CRAP!!!!”

This is probably a good time to point out a married couple without kids are still a family, but, hey…

“They have NO idea the JOY and happiness it is to MOHTER WHO BUYS THEIR BABIES TREATS AND TOYS!!!!!,” continued Miss Hannigan. “THEY WILL NEVER EXPERIENCE THE EXHAUSTION THAT IT IS TO CHASE A 3 YEAR OLD AROUND AND GETTING STARES ASSUMING IM A BAD MOTHER!!!!”

Ok, I think we’re getting closer to the heart of the rage here.

“This c*nt in some very SLUTTY shorts was buying a Mickey pretzel and Aiden wanted one but the line was very long so I said later and it broke his poor little heart and he cried,” said the mom, finally getting to the crux of the tantrum.

“I WANTED TO TAKE THAT FUCKING PRETZEL FROM THAT TRAMP LIKE THANKS B*TCH YOU MADE MY SON CRY!!!”

Well, actually, it sounds like the mom made her kid cry because she didn’t have the patience to wait in line. I hear lines are common at Disney World.

The mother of the year then kicked into high gear with, “DW is for CHILDREN!!!! People without CHILDREN need to be banned!!!!!”

Now, that’s not going to work for some Disney queens I know. But the mom has her own self-interest at heart it seems. She’s wanting some privilege as part of her parenthood.

“Mothers with children should be allowed to skip ALL THE LINE!!!! YOU HAVE NO F*CKING IDEA WHAT ITS LIKE TO STAND IN LINE FOR 3 HOURS WITH A CRANKY TIRED EXHAUSTED TODDLER!!!!”

Miss Thing really likes some exclamation points, huh?

“AND I CANT’ JUST TELL HIM THAT WE CANT DO SOMETHING BECAUSE ITS HIS VACATION TOO!!!!,” adding just a few more exclamation points to the epic rant.

She closed with this charming bon mot: “I f*cking hate childless women with a BURNING PASSION!!!!”

Thrown in throughout were many red frown face emojis.

Needless to say, that’s all a bit over the top.

And this “banning childless couples from Disney” is not going to fly. Especially for the LGBTQ community – a vast majority of which do not have children.

Disney, as I understand it, appeals to the kid in all of us no matter the age.

As expected, the Twitterverse dragged the ‘mom from hell’ for her comments.
