Country music icon Loretta Lynn, who pulled herself out of poverty by singing about strength in the face of cheating husbands, divorce, and a hard scrabble childhood as a ‘Coal Miner’s Daughter,’ died on Tuesday at her home in Hurricane Mills, Tenn.
