Quinnipiac Poll: 58% Of Registered Voters Disapprove Of Trump Job Performance

A new poll from Quinnipiac University shows President Trump’s approval number trending further down, losing support from white voters with no college degree, as well as indie voters and white male voters.

The president is losing support among independent voters and groups which are important parts of his base. Approval ratings are:

• Negative 29 – 63 percent among independent voters, down from a negative 38 – 56 percent April 19

• A split among white voters with no college degree, as 47 percent approve and 46 percent disapprove, compared to a 57 – 38 percent approval April 19

• White men go from a 53 – 41 percent approval April 19 to a split today with 48 percent approving and 46 percent disapproving.

Poll: Trump’s Approval Rating Is Lowest Of Newly-Elected Presidents

As Donald Trump nears the end of his first 100 days as president – the “honeymoon” you might say – his approval ratings continue to make history.

And not in a good way.

A new CNN/ORC poll shows Trump has the lowest approval rating of any president since such tracking began.

Overall, 44% approve of the job Trump is doing while 54% disapprove.

That’s 11 points behind Bill Clinton’s previous low of 55%.

Trump Whines About “Ridiculous Standard” Of First 100 Days Threshold

As we get closer to the 100 day mark in the Trump presidency, President Babyhands looks like he’s already setting up to deflect on his failure to deliver on many of his campaign promises.

Check out this tweet he dispatched this morning: “No matter how much I accomplish during the ridiculous standard of the first 100 days, & it has been a lot (including S.C.), media will kill!”

The fact of the matter is, even as Trump attempts to spin his lack of legislative achievements into “something,” Trump hasn’t done much but nominate and get a Supreme Court justice seated.

And, I should mention most presidents get their SCOTUS nominees approved. In fact, you have to go back 30 years to the last time a nominee didn’t win approval in the U.S. Senate.

In that we’re at Day 91,  let’s look at some of the things Trump “promised” to do:

• On cyber-hacking: “I will appoint a team to give me a plan within 90 days of taking office.”

Remember, today is Day 91.

• On defeating ISIS: “They will have 30 days to submit to the Oval Office a plan for soundly and quickly defeating ISIS.”

Umm, that was 61 days ago.

• Obamacare: Trump told American voters you would have Congress “immediately deliver a full repeal” of the Affordable Care Act on Day 1.

Way tardy – that was 91 days ago.

• Undocumented immigrants: “Day one, my first hour in office, those people are gone.”

That was… well, you get the point.

The fact is Trump really didn’t understand the reality of governing. That you can’t just bark and yell and things happen as you’d like.

I’d say, “Well, at least Trump is popular,” but I’d be lying.

In fact, according to Gallop polls, Trump has the lowest average approval rating for any president in the history of Gallup polling.

Trump averaged just 41% approval for his first quarter as president.

For perspective, the previous “lowest average” president was Bill Clinton, and his “lowest” was 14 points higher at 55%.

President Obama had an average of 63% approval.

In spite of all this, though, Trump continues to sell his presidency like a used car salesman, extolling features that don’t really exist.

Perhaps it’s time that Trump stop bitching and whining (and golfing) and get something done.

Poll: 17 Point Drop – Only 45% Of Americans Think Trump Keeps His Promises

More bad news for President Trump as Gallup Polling shows the opinion of American voters continues to slide downward on key characteristics of the Trumpster:

President Donald Trump’s image among Americans as someone who keeps his promises has faded in the first two months of his presidency, falling from 62% in February to 45%. The public is also less likely to see him as a “strong and decisive leader,” as someone who “can bring about the changes this country needs” or as “honest and trustworthy.”

With close to two-thirds of Americans saying in February that Trump “keeps his promises,” it was clearly a strength for the president. Given the sharp decline on that dimension this month, that is no longer the case. In February, a majority also said Trump can bring about the changes the country needs, but less than half hold that view now.

It’s notable that only 36% of those polled think Trump is “honest and trustworthy.”

Gallup Poll: Trump Approval Rating Falls To Weak 35%

Has anyone explained to President Trump that approval ratings aren’t like golf scores?

Lower isn’t better.

In the aftermath of the TrumpCare debacle, the Donald’s approval rating has dropped to a historic low of 35% in the latest Gallup tracking poll, while his disapproval has risen to a new high of 59%.

Trump’s Approval Rating Hits New Lows Just Before Taking Oath Of Office

Some people, not me, are saying he’s not getting great numbers since the election.

And this is a FOX NEWS poll, just saying…

Via The Hill:

Just over a third of Americans approve of President-elect Donald Trump, according to a new poll released hours before his inauguration.

The survey from Fox News showed that 37 percent of Americans approve of Trump ahead of his inauguration, while 54 percent do not.

Measuring the country’s mood just before Inauguration Day, 60 percent of Americans said “it’s everyone for themselves,” and 34 percent said “we’re all in this together.”

The poll comes at the tail end of a flurry of surveys that show Trump as having a historically low approval rating for a president-elect.

According to an ABC/Washington Post poll released earlier this week, 40 percent of Americans approved of Trump. In 2009, 80 percent of Americans approved of then-President-elect Barack Obama.

Poll: President Obama Leaves Office With 60% Approval Rating

Via ABC News:

Sixty percent of Americans in the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll approve of Obama’s job performance, the most since June 2009, five months after he took office. Sixty-one percent approve of his handling of the economy, a career high. And as many express a favorable opinion of him personally, the most since November 2009.

These ratings stand in contrast to Donald Trump’s; as reported Tuesday, just 40 percent approve of his handling of the transition, about half the average for recent incoming presidents, and an identical 40 percent see him favorably, a third lower than Obama’s rating and the lowest for any president-elect in polls dating to Jimmy Carter in 1977.

Survey: Trump’s Approval Numbers Continue To Slide

President-elect did not like what he saw in the latest CNN/ORC poll which showed the Trumpster will be taking office as president with by far the lowest approval ratings of a newly-elected president in decades.

According to the survey’s results, Trump’s approval numbers stand at 40%, with 52% disapproving.

That’s a long ways behind that of President Barack Obama (84% approval) as he took office 8 years ago. President George W. Bush had 61% approval, and Bill Clinton took the oath of office with 67% approval.

Additionally, 53% of those surveyed say they have less confidence in Trump’s ability to serve as president since election day.

Of course, he couldn’t let that go untweeted:

You’ll note that Mr. Trump loves citing any poll that shows him in a positive light.

His tweet must be referencing the pre-election polls that correctly predicted that Hillary Clinton would get more votes than he did.

More than 2.8 million more votes, to be precise.

Donald Trump Still Mad About The Election (And Low Approval Numbers)

President-elect may never be able to live down that he lost the popular vote. A fact that continues to bruise his thin-orange-skinned ego.

The President-elect took another swipe at Democrats this morning with the promise that he’s just going to get more and more popular.

THAT would be good news for the Trumpster considering he currently has the worst approval/disapproval rating of any incoming president in modern history.

Earlier this week, Quinnipiac released the results of a new poll showing 51 percent of those surveyed said that they disapprove of the job Trump is doing as president-elect versus 37 percent who said they approve.

The same poll indicates 55 percent of Americans give President Barack Obama a big thumbs up compared to 39 percent who disapprove of the outgoing president.

In the meantime, we’ll be getting a LOT more of this I imagine:
