In case you were wondering why Donald Trump is so eager to distract, take a look at his dismal approval rating via Gallup’s daily tracking poll.
Dropping back down to only 35% can’t be putting a smile on the Trumpster’s face…
More bad news for Donald Trump’s failing presidency as his approval rating has cratered to a new low of 32% in the most recent Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research survey.
From The Hill:
Thirty-two percent of Americans polled said they approved of Trump’s handling of his job nine months into his presidency, while 67 percent of those polled said they disapproved.
The president’s approval rating in the poll is down from 42 percent in March and 35 percent in June, AP-NORC said.
Trump also did not fare well among Americans who were asked if he understands their needs and problems.
Sixty-four percent of Americans said the president understands their needs “not very well” or “not very well at all.”
The Gallup Daily Tracking poll shows Donald Trump has hit a milestone in his approval rating, but not the kind any president would like to have.
The poll shows the Trumpster returning to his record-low approval rating – 34% – and a record-high disapproval rating of 61%.

The results of a new survey by Public Policy Polling are not good news for Donald Trump:
• Only 40% approve of the job Trump is doing versus 53% who disapprove
• Only 15% of those polled feel he has been successful in “draining the swamp”
• 57% disapprove of his plan to ban transgender service members in the U.S. military, only 31% approve
• 55% oppose Trump’s plan to build “The Wall” along the U.S./Mexico border; 34% approve
• Only 39% think Trump is honest versus 55% who feel Trump is dishonest
• 48% say Trump should be impeached while 41% disagree
Things look even grimmer over at the Gallup Daily Tracking poll which shows Trump at a dismal 35% approve/60% disapprove rating.
In the aftermath of the white supremacist violence in Charlottesville over the weekend and Donald Trump’s woefully lacking sense of moral leadership, his approval rating in Gallup’s Daily Tracking poll has dropped to the lowest level ever seen in the history of the poll.

According to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS, only 38% of those polled approve of Donald Trump’s handling of the presidency, while 56% say they disapprove.
Only one other president at the six-month mark of their presidency has notched an approval rating below 50% at this point since modern polling began: Bill Clinton. At this point in 1993, Clinton had an approval rating of 44%, still 8 points better than the Trumpster.
The high 30s is where Trump seems to average when it comes to approval numbers.
But there is a troubling issue in this survey’s results for Trump. Among Republicans, strong approval has dropped by double digits – from 73% in February to 59% now. That signifies a drop of 14 points among his base.
More from the poll:
• Only 24% of Americans trust everything that comes out of the White House; 30% say they trust “nothing at all” from the Trump White House
• Just 43% believe Trump can “bring the kind of change the country needs,” down from 48% in April
• Only 39% feel Trump “can manage the government effectively,” down from 44% in April
• Just 36% say the Trump presidency is a success thus far versus 59% who say Trump is failing. At this point in their respective presidencies, both Obama and George W. Bush were considered “successful” by most Americans (51% for Obama; 56% for Bush)
• 62% say Trump’s actions and statements since taking office have made them less confident in him
• 59% say Trump isn’t paying enough attention to the country’s most critical issues
Gallup’s daily tracking poll shows Donald Trump’s Approval rating has dropped again to near his lowest point.
Sitting at 36% today, the only time he’s shown worse numbers was on March 28 when he hit a dismal 35% approval rating.
His disapproval numbers hit a high of 60% last month on June 12. He currently shows a 59% disapproval rating.

According to a new survey of 37 countries by Pew Research Center, the world’s confidence that America’s President will “do the right thing” has dropped precipitously.
From the survey:
Although he has only been in office a few months, Donald Trump’s presidency has had a major impact on how the world sees the United States.
Trump and many of his key policies are broadly unpopular around the globe, and ratings for the U.S. have declined steeply in many nations.
According to a new Pew Research Center survey spanning 37 nations, a median of just 22% has confidence in Trump to do the right thing when it comes to international affairs.
This stands in contrast to the final years of Barack Obama’s presidency, when a median of 64% expressed confidence in Trump’s predecessor to direct America’s role in the world.
Over 40,000 respondents were polled in the survey.
When asked to describe Donald Trump’s character:
• 75% said “arrogant”
• 65% said “ignorant”
• 62% said “dangerous”
So. Much. Winning.

Donald Trump is still competing with Barack Obama.
Today, he tweeted that his approval rating is higher than that of Barack Obama – despite the data he is referring to suggesting the opposite is true.

As everyone who follows politics knows, Rasmussen famously leans right in it’s polling.
President Obama entered office on January 20 2009 with an approval rating of 67 per cent. At this point in his presidency his approval rating was 55%, five points higher than Trump.
Real Clear Politics, a site which collates data from the major national polls, estimated Mr Trump’s approval rating to be 39.9 per cent from May 30 to June 15.
The Huffington Post’s latest average puts the President’s approval rating at 38.5 per cent.

New Quinnipiac Poll on President Trump shows him at his lowest level yet in this poll with 34% approval; 57% disapproval.
Also from the survey:
• 54% say Trump is too friendly to Russia, 3% say he is too unfriendly
• 68 percent of voters are “very concerned” or “somewhat concerned” about Trump’s relationship with Russia
• 45% say Russia is an adversary, 8% say it is an ally
• 73% of voters approve of the appointment of Robert Mueller as a special counsel to investigate possible links or coordination between the Trump campaign and Russia; 15% of voters do not approve
