• Gayety: The building that housed Pulse Nightclub, where 49 people were killed in a 2016 mass shooting, was demolished on March 17 clearing the way for a long-awaited permanent memorial.

• Newsweek: A Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI) survey of 22,111 adults across all 50 states found that support for same-sex marriage remains at a majority level (65%) but has declined from recent years. In 2022, a similar PRRI survey reported that 69% did.
• The Advocate: More than 30 LGBTQ+ and civil rights organizations are urging the U.S. Senate to reject the GOP-backed SAVE Act which would restrict access to the ballot and target trans people with restrictions on gender-affirming care for minors and ban trans women and girls from participating in sports aligned with their gender identity.

• Euractiv: Denmark reportedly sent elite troops, F-35 jets with live ammunition, and medical supplies to Greenland in January during Trump’s threats of a takeover. Airstrip runways were prepped to be blown up in order to prevent an invasion.
• Axios: Seven U.S. allies have announced their support for a potential coalition to reopen the Strait of Hormuz for commercial ships and oil tankers. The statement, largely a gesture to placate Donald Trump, does not include any commitment to send naval vessels or other resources to open the Strait.
