Some news items I thought worth your time: • LGBTQ Nation: Gun-toting neo-Nazis (above) tried to ruin a Pride festival in Grove City, Ohio, but failed miserably. Their presence inspired the town and its leaders to come out in support of the local queer community resulting in the biggest Pridefest yet. • New Music: The new single from Kentö – “Everything” – has a fantastic groovy vibe that hooked me from beat one. Now streaming on all major music platforms including Spotify. • Pink News: Joker: Folie à Deux, the sequel to 2019 hit film The Joker, has not had a good opening weekend with cinema-goers ridiculing the Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix-fronted film online. Early reviews from both critics and audiences are in agreement: it’s not good. • The Advocate: Corey DeAngelis, virulently anti-LGBTQ activist and the face of the privatization or ‘school choice’ movement, has been fired from the American Federation for Children after his past involvement in gay porn came to light. • NewsIsOut: Half of Black gay men will be diagnosed with HIV, despite highly effective preventive treatments − why? Stigma and cost of PrEP and homophobia.
“PrEP faces significant barriers for widespread use among the most vulnerable populations. In 2022, only 36% of the 1.2 million people who could benefit from PrEP were prescribed the medications.” https://t.co/IPfxVjSrPm

• The Daily Beast: Royce White, Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in Minnesota, wrote in a social media post that “the bad guys won in WWII.” He also whined last year that “women have become too mouthy.” #wtf • X: At an event in Georgia on Friday, convicted felon Donald Trump finally admitted he lost the 2020 election.
!!! Trump admits he lost Georgia in 2020: “I won it easily in 2016. We actually were very close last time.” pic.twitter.com/wEa6MO2Vz2
