Kyle Rittenhouse Found Not Guilty On All Charges

Kyle Rittenhouse has been found not guilty on all charges in the shooting deaths of two men and wounding of a third at a Wisconsin protest against racial injustice last year. https://twitter.com/CNN/status/1461761381552861186 Rittenhouse took the stand during the trial telling jurors he killed the men in self-defense. From CNN:

“I didn’t do anything wrong. I defended myself,” he testified.

Rittenhouse, now 18, was charged with five felonies:

• First-degree intentional homicide • First-degree reckless homicide • Attempted first-degree intentional homicide • Two counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety

Jurors were also able to consider lesser offenses for two of the five counts.

Judge Bruce Schroeder dismissed a misdemeanor weapons possession charge and a non-criminal curfew violation during the trial.
