• Playbill: Tony-winning stage (Nine) and screen (30 Rock) star Jane Krakowski will take over the title role in Broadway’s Oh, Mary! for an eight-week engagement. The show earned two 2025 Tony Awards: Lead Actor in a Play and Director of a Play.
• them: The state of Florida is now arresting people (4 so far) for using rainbow chalk on crosswalks. One man who walked across the Pulse memorial crosswalk with colored chalk on his shoes was charged with “defacing a traffic device,” but a judge ordered his release.

• Washington Blade: The GOP-controlled Appropriations Committee of the House of Representatives has released its Fiscal Year 2026 funding bill that, if passed by the full Congress, would eliminate federal funding for all HIV prevention programs in the U.S.
• CNN: Americans have overwhelmingly turned against Trump’s tariffs – in November 2024, 52% of Americans supported the tariffs while 48% were opposed. Now, 60% are opposed, with 40% in favor.
• LGBTQ Nation: The West African nation of Burkina Faso has criminalized same-sex relations, making homosexuality punishable by up to five years in prison. Two other African nations – Ghana and Uganda – increased the punishments for homosexuality in recent years.
• CNBC: Nearly 600 economists have signed an open letter defending Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook after Donald Trump attempted to fire her.
