Supreme Court Rules Trump Tariffs Are Illegal

Dealing a massive blow to Donald Trump’s economic policy, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled this morning that Trump’s global tariffs are illegal.

In a 6-3 decision, written by Chief Justice John Roberts, the high court found that the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA)  —  which Trump has used to justify his tariffs — does not give Trump the power to unilaterally impose tariffs. Study: Trump’s “Tariff Dividend Checks” Would Cost $450 Billion

Donald Trump recently promised he would be sending low and middle income Americans $2,000 “tariff dividend” checks financed by the Trump tariffs sometime in mid-2026.

Variety:  Hulu has announced its gay-centered sitcom “Mid-Century Modern” starring Nathan Lane, Matt Bomer, Nathan Lee Graham, and the late Linda Lavin, will not return for a second season. While not groundbreaking, I liked the series, sometimes playfully referred to as a gay “Golden Girls.” It was comfortable and easy to watch. #DarnIt
