• PBS: By a 50-47 vote, the Senate advanced a resolution to limit Donald Trump’s war powers in Iran on Tuesday, marking a breakthrough for Democrats after seven failed attempts. Four Republicans — Sens. Susan Collins (R-ME), Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), Rand Paul (R-KY) and Bill Cassidy (R-LA) — voted in favor of the resolution.
• Mediaite: Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) came out against the $1.8 billion “anti-weaponization fund” announced by Trump’s Department of Justice: “Yeah, not a big fan…I don’t see a purpose for it.”
• X: Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche refused to say whether any of the “anti-weaponization” money would go to people who had assaulted police officers during the Jan. 6 Capitol riot at a Senate hearing this morning.
