• Howard Stern: Demi Lovato tells Howard Stern how her hit song “Cool for the Summer” is about an actual relationship she had with a famous woman.
• LGBTQ Nation: A federal judge has extended his temporary order that prevents Texas from enforcing its ban on drag shows. The law was supposed to go into effect on September 1.
• CBS News: Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis says the media is to blame for his anti-LGBTQ reputation. He says his Don’t Say Gay law doesn’t actually use the word gay (but we all know what the point of the law is).

• Tampa Bay Times: According to a list released by Florida’s Department of Education, school districts across the state issued a combined total of 386 book bans after receiving a total of 1,218 objections in 2022. More than half of the objections were raised by just two people.
