Some news items I thought worth your time:
• ESPN: Former NBA player Jason Collins – the first active male athlete in a major U.S. team sport to come out as gay – opens up about his diagnosis for Stage 4 brain cancer (glioblastoma), adding he may not have much longer to live.
My hubby Michael and I met Jason at the National Lesbian Gay Journalists Association (NLGJA) convention in Chicago where he shared his coming out experience. Super nice guy and generous with his time. I’m wishing him the best as he journeys on.

• Gay Times: A new report by The Trevor Project found trans and non-binary youth whose pronouns were respected had lower rates of past-year suicide attempts (11%) compared to those whose pronouns were not respected (17%).
• Queerty: That very funny moment when legendary lesbian actress Miriam Margolyes asked Alexander Skarsgård (who was promoting his queer “dom-com” Pillion) if he was gay and what research he did for his role in the film as a leather dom/daddy.

• LGBTQ Nation: Hate pastor Joel Webbon says Christians should use more anti-LGBTQ slurs when talking about gay men.
• New Music: Out recording artist Matt Ford drops the music video for his debut single, “50/50.” The song is a bop and the visual is a fun, dance-driven eye-full.
